During the Gig, Nick was about to play but realised he didn't have a capo. He asked the audience, which raised a laugh but I offered my 'finger' which, to my amazment, he duly accepted. So there you have it. Standing on stage as a human capo with the Man. Memorable to say the least......................:m8:
10 years gone.............sorry Led!! Yep, but it's hard to believe it's nearly ten years ago..........:47:
I so know what you're saying! My first Nick gig was over 12 years ago now... 12 years?!? Where did that time go? :confused1: My beloved got sick of me moaning about how it couldn't possibly be 25 years since... [fill in the blank here] during 'Now That's What I Call 1983' last night :blushing:
Bury Met! I keep hearing good things from folk who have played there about the excellent acoustics and sound. Forgot this thread and that Nick had played there. Time for a return maybe...
I saw Roy play there sometime in the last millennium (1984?!), also Robin Williamson about a year or so later. It sounded great as I recall, but it's probably had a refurb since, I'll let you know after I've returned, to see Luka Bloom on May 16th.
Some stories are just meant to happen at the right place, with the right person at the right time. The greatest music is the music of the heart. :m23:
