Hi there.. Does anyone know if Nick is going to be at the Beautiful Days festival.,, Would be great to see him play Field of the Cloth of Gold there??? Heres hoping, Tickets on sales from 10th March by the way and they sell out really fast. Cheers
I've got my fingers crossed! And my toes. And my eyes... Shame last year's Friday headliner probably won't be back though, with KT and the Harpic on the same bill I might combust from the excitement
Nothing goes out about BDays until the Levellers release the information themselves, so keep watch on the official Levellers and Beautiful Days sites.
Pfft. That'll be ages. Wild speculation is more fun So far I'm liking what efestivals is rumouring - especially the second main stage band below, woo and indeed bloody hoo! Main Stage Sunday 17 August Levellers - to be confirmed unknown day Squeeze - to be confirmed unknown stage unknown day Alabama 3 - strong rumour Dan Donnelly - strong rumour Sebastien Tellier - to be confirmed Tiny Tin Lady - strong rumour (here, I'll start a rumour - the Verve are playing every other bloody festival this year, so why not... LOL)
Squeeze will be the Friday night Paula, they are playing V on Saturday and Sunday. Are you definately going then , I have my tix sorted already And I will be seeing KT in the forest in June, just to make you jealous
V?!? Those festival sluts  Well I haven't got my tix sorted but I have to say I am more than slightly tempted... watch this space. GRRRR only jokin', you will LURVE her!
I think BDays is going to be fab this year. Never been but may just drag me and a tent - NOT!:w00t: - along. It's not all muddy is it?
Nick now up as a *strong rumour* for BDays on eFestivals - haha! My *instincts* tell me it's stronger than that. Hope you've all got tickets. Nice if Levs and Dreadzone are same day otherwise I might need Simon's tent!
well apart from the Eastern Haze festival last year .... Beautiful Days festival was easily the most unorganised festival I've ever been to (!!) ... and I've been to about 50 different festivals over the years ... so Nick playing ain't gonna be enough of a reason for us to go again !!
That raises an interesting (off-topic) point. Is an "organised festival" necessarily a good thing? I haven't been to B.D, but.. was it disorganised to the point of potentially endangering the visitors, or was it more of a "bumbling incompetence" sort of thing? If the latter, it might have been a deliberate attempt to get back to the festivals of days gone by, without chain link fences, loudhailers, and mobile phone charging stations...
Levs acoustic or DIP open on Friday and full band close on sunday if that helps your planning Linn, but the highlight has to be the suday morning prayer meeting revue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5lY47uoLQY (dont you think the dress suits Mark). I have my tickets already but dont leave it long if anyone wants any they sold out by the end of April last year I think. Big Chris I think last year the weather got to the organisation a little but it didnt stop my lot wanting to go again.
Noooo! I have to be in Chelmsford on the Saturday for The Twang!:w00t: I can't be running between Essex and blimmin Devon all weekend! Something will have to give. I spoke to Rev yesterday and he said there were no DIP plans, so it may be Levs ac. Levs just announced for Cambridge Folk too.
well it was certainly the latter ... but if I was to put my green hat on ( I do have one somewhere ) it could well have been classed as the former too !! Basically we went down the year that Nick played with his band .. and we got within 1 mile ( at most ) of the entrance ... but then it took us about 3 hours to get in !! Now as it was boasted that it was organised by the levellers ... and they've been to loads of festivals all over the place ... then why oh why did they stop each car coming in, to check tickets, hand over wrist bands ( while still in car ? ) and ask each car about chuffing bin liners and stuff ?!? Why couldn't they do like virtually every other festival ... just let you park up, then get wrist bands and bin-bags ... thus speeding up the entry for everyone ... and not having hundreds of cars just sitting there ( or driving very slowly ) and pumping out loads of harmfull gasses ( hence why they could have been potentially endangering the visitors ... and the rest of the planet !! ) I'm all for going to festivals of old, with no phone chargers etc ... just so long as they allow us to get in to the site in good time ... so we can make the most of it !!
That was really horrific - Nick the first one on the mainstage at 6pm and we're still sitting in traffic at 5:30 :w00t: Most stressed I've ever been at a festival I think! And we ended up in the family field all weekend cos that was where we dumped our stuff as we ran to the gig and got there about 5:59 :bored: I'd go back but I wasn't impressed that year. (and of course the Levs were on as DIP at the same time so there were 75 people at best watching Sleeper Cell - ARSE!)
Rev's on on Sunday at midday, so with the Levs that day too, all going well for my plans so far. Somehow I have the feeling that isn't going to last though...
