    daveiw100 I've got a zappy little nappy

Just stumbled across Roy Harper Podcasts on iTunes, and decided to register on this site.
Been a Roy Harper fan on and off for years.
First time I heard him (or heard of him !!) was at Bath Festival Of Blues - 28/06/1969 - He blew my mind !!!!
I have all his early albums (on vinyl and CD), and most of his later recordings, but personally prefer his earlier works - McGoohans Blues - Brilliant !!!!
I've seen him on several occasions over the years, including a guest appearance with David Gilmour (1984) at the Hammersmith Odeon (now Apollo), but the Bath Festival was definitely the most memorable
I have a recording of the BBC broadcast in 1971, which is by no means perfect, but in my opinion is better than the recording included in BBC Tapes Volume 1. I believe there's also an additional track (South Africa?) that's not included in BBC Tapes Vol 1 CD
    Anyway, enough of my ramblings.
Glad to be here and, hopefully, I'll continue to find more good stuff here

    Dave
