Been a Roy Harper fan for so many years I forget Saw him in Birmingham in the 1970s wow he was so great live. Now retired and catching up on my life a little. I live only about 12 miles from Marden where Roy lived and it seems got stitched up by some awful accusations. I am so glad he is cleared. The stain on his soul will take time to go but we can all help. Christ what is this world coming to raking up crap from years ago when there is so much that needs sorting in the present. Well Roy your music kept me sane and gave me some balance when all about me seemed odd. I have had a very conformist life but so often my head has been singing your songs especially as i glanced at the god strapped to my wrist racing to a meeting. I wish there was a way to spread the music out to others and give them time to soak it up. I recently met a guy who is a singer and songwriter. I said have a listen to Roy. after 2 weeks he came back and said not for him I said ok but thought god you cannot be serious.
Welcome Rob. Sorry to hear your friend didn't "get" Roy. It takes a bit of effort but as we all know, the rewards are immeasurable once it clicks!
Welcome also! I'm glad to hear Roy has been cleared for good, didn't know it was STILL and on/off thing. Now we can concentrate our attention on the old Bieber/Gomez rumors (if we don't have lives to live).
