we took 12 of the 2500mAh's along with two chargers to paris for the week and only used the first set of four, although if we dont take the chargers this year whats the odds the batteries run out... that was one week with a lot of zooming and viewing pictures afterwards thats an 8x optical5mp fuji - 4 x AA - old school with manual settings usually have the lcd off though...
I wish someone had said don't test the format option and click yes unless you've downloaded the pix or WANT to delete them! Just found out the hard way and erased the lot. Only had half of over 100 saved. Trial and error...
well we wernt to know you where that much of a beginner :blushing: tip: dont format things unless you want to lose them.... there are ways of recovering these things, but only worth it if its important... worth investing in recovery software though by the sounds of it, if its going to be a regular thing... only costs about £20
But if you do decide to try and recover the pictures, don't do anything to the card at all. Taking photos would be a complete no no. If you want me to try and recover them - i have the software, you could send me the card by snail mail!
I think quite a few people here know when it comes to cameras, computers, phones and anything electronic really I am even below beginner.:blushing: I freely admit to being a complete dunce. I just try and get a nice man to help.
Thanks, honey bunny, but too late: I did start taking more! I've lost a load of stuff for my client, but there's nothing I can do now. Could have been worse - like a prize pic of that Liverpool own goal!
It's still possible they can be recovered. Here goes with another analogy... Imagine your memory card is like a country, and all your pics are little villages. Now when a computer deletes a file, then really all it does is removes the village from the map of the memory card, not actually flattening the village itself. So it's still there, just it doesn't know where it is. So if one was to go out and survey the country again, it could be found and the map rebuilt. This is great except, when one takes more photos, they might get built over another village cause it doesn't know their there! But of course some won't have been built over unless you've filled the card again.
Chuckle, chuckle, gufffaw, guffaw,ha ha,he he,snortle.. My friends are all here laughing, in strangely familiar scenes! I've just spent half an hour typing in a text on my mobile and pressed the wrong button and it all just disappeared into the ether. Imagine if I was in control of pressing the nuclear option button... what a nightmare! You are welcome to it! It's the one I walk when I am sleeping in 1984.Recently I also lost another mobile phone [am on my sixteenth now!] and all the pics/videos of my dear departed mother were on it.There's another thread [Fred?] we could instigate about the valuable things you have lost on your journey...I've heard many tales about computer data disappearing and unable to retrieve. It teaches one not to think you are paranoid when you start backing up everything in case all around you crashes. The worst one was when on the toilet and the mobile phone slipped out of my pocket into the John before it had been flushed... Aghhhhhh!!! Vodafone weren't very helpful I must say in my self-inflicted predicament.. andi :cursing:
rofl andy! i did the very same, phone down the lav preflush!! orange were just as impressed :beatdeadhorse5: amor mundi hatty
This reminds me of the StoryMakers on CBeebies (The Blue Cow stories etc.) "Imagine, imagine, imagine a story"
I still haven't tried it out at a gig. May do tomorrow at The Enemy. That should be a joke and a half knowing me! Another question: when say I want to use pix to put on myspace or wherever, what do I put the size at, and how?
just remember... at gigs, you dont need to use a flash... house lighting is usually enough and looks much much better... people with flash at gigs are damned annoying...
Agreed about the flash, but when I use mine without flash the sensor puts out green light. It looks like an alian beam of some kind:28:
Mine does, but i can switch it off. I forget what the setting is, "af illuminator" maybe. I'll have a look tomorrow if you like.
batteries/ eletricity Man Woman energy Woman Man energy energy x energy equals electricity ie battery free Zone
Aren't you able to turn that off? :confused1: Would have thought that was optional. A flash won't help that much from the back of a venue anyway - either your camera can get the pic without flash (put it on a low light setting if you have one) or it can't.
you flash will just light up the six foot on front of you and you will get lovely photos of peoples heads.. what you doing at the back anyway... stupid place to be
That's it no pornographic methaphors here!! First stripe! Hit me with your rhythm stick !! The Sunday Madcap Joker having a day off in his life! andi :biggrin:
