Well this one just has to be done. And hopefully I'll be taking my lovely Emma with me too. Ages away though. :-( Pity my time machine only goes at 60 minutes an hour. Oh well.
You can certainly be mine, but I'll have to check if you can be Emma's too! Sure it's not a problem I can offer you a sofa if you like!
Is someone creating facebook events for this tour? Or more specifically for St Helens? I have a lot of people I should invite. I know a few I've already spoken to that'll come along if they can!
Critch, I'll invite you to the St. Helens event (set up by the Citadel). I'll email the Greystones and see if I can start an event for that gig, Chris. The trouble with Facebook events now is, stupid spammers like BandsInTown and Eventful make up their own events and half the time the info is wrong. So one gig has like 3 events and not a good one between 'em!!
Aww thanks for the offer! Have already booked and paid for a Travelodge but I appreciate it
This is the day before my birthday, last time I saw Nick at The Citadel was 2008, when some rowdy scousers had to be escorted from the building..Should be a great night, look forward to seeing you there, it's been a while since I saw you at a Harpic gig Critch!
Unfortunately not Pete, as often in life, plans change, her indoors had to fill in a night shift for someone off sick, and I was left looking after my son, hope it was a good night. I read somewhere that it was going to be filmed?
Hi Shaun, It was filmed, but in a very low key way. Gotta say he was on top top form. Emma loved it. One string break at the very start of love is music. Hilarious change when he realised he didn't have a spare in his pocket and took the mic back stage with him and dragged his guitar case back on with him! Glad they got that one on tape. Don't really want to give any spoilers about gags to other gig goers, but some brilliant stuff about his dad and a tribute band he is going to form... Good to see pete too. And there was another guy sat near him that I recognised, but I can't remember where I know him from. Very convinced it isn't from gigs though... someone I've worked with at some point I think. We met at the door and did that nod of acknoledgement thing, but didn't get chance to talk. So if that was you, get in touch lol. Anyone got a video of Juicy Fruit Girl? Was fantastic. Very funny and catchy. I was singing it to myself today!
The lady sat next to the guy sat next to me, laughed heartily at Juicy fruit girl (the "size of her jaw" bit) and was still laughing after the song finished. Good to hear. It all sounded great upstairs, but there was a bit of bother downstairs where my brother & his wife were sat, over-exuberant fans, in a different venue it wouldn't have mattered but I think they put Nick off his stride a bit at times. Some good banter though, it was a good night. (still not a fan of Love Is Music though...... he could fit five or six great songs into that 20 minutes)
