A flag up for this 2 show night on the Kemp Town borders of Brighton. Why not make a day - and night - of it? Hopefully by March 28 the weather will be a lot warmer too! Each show (7pm & 9.30pm) costs £12. Come for one or both. http://thelatest.co.uk/musicbar/programme-march-2009 (thanks again to Paul for the pic, and to Leigh whose quote I borrowed!)
I'm looking at coming to those gigs. We won't get turfed out into the cold at half-time will we?
Yeah! I read that wrongly originally and thinking he was doing two nights and would have to find a accomodation for the night. Two gigs in one night? Now that's a bonus! But reading it again it is a bit confusing? Start again at 10pm? What time does it finish the second gig and is it the same price for one gig or does it obviously cover both gigs? chrs andi :m16:
Both shows run for approx 90 mins. First show: doors 7pm, start 7.30pm Second show: doors 9.30, start 10pm Each show is £12 per ticket.
I doubt it! I think that's the time you're expected to keep the bar busy....! It'd be great if you could make it. I know DJ will be there, and I am maybe hoping I can persuade Travellerman too, if he hasn't given up on the UK before then and headed for warmer climes.
Both these shows are looking like they will sell out before the night. I will let you know as we near the date how things stand, but I would strongly advise to buy now - or regret it later!
Well I just phoned them and have booked my tickets. They were also just about to sort out the link to wegottickets ... so you should be able to buy them online later this afternoon.
Already done, thanks. I thought I'd also responded about that but it could have been in another thread. Anyone else coming to the Pompey or scumpton gigs?
Probably maybe... Will definitely try and make Pompey after Basingstoke but as for going to Scumland I suppose Nick will need our moral support venturing in such an human urban wasteland? chrs andi
Tickets still available for both shows - but selling fast. This is a great opportunity to grab a double dose of Harpic without leaving your seat! Plus...£10 concessions now being offered, so bring your granny along for a night out, why not!
Advance Warning! At this stage, there are still tickets available for both shows at the Latest on the 28th. However, there is only an 80 capacity for each and as it will be mentioned on Southern Counties Radio on Sunday and local press features next week, there MAY NOT be tickets still available on the night. So if you are planning on coming to one/both shows, then please buy in advance or check with the box office if you can't on the day.
*News flash* SteveT and Andi now unable to attend, so there will be no *support* here. Hope everyone has a good evening and enjoys the double dose!
Thanks everybody for coming last night. Those I missed (Barry, were you there?) and those I met. Like Julie whom I met by chance and lives just a mile away from me. What a coincidence was that. Can't remember much - haven't been to bed yet! I think it's an hour later than showing here...oh dear - but we were dancing to some song (what was it?) at 1am that Nick was still going strong on! I'll just say that bigchris is a pretty nifty mover on the dancefloor. Shake his booty he did.
Interesting two shows, I thought - which started at 7.30pm and went on till after 1am!:m9: Show 1 Two Way Thing Crazy Boy Aeroplane Before They Put Me In The Ground BST In Our Time (complete with bar and table walk) Shadowlands By My Rocket 38 Imaginary Friend The Galaxy Song Love Is Music/Headless/Grace/4 Sticks/Can't Get You Out Of My Head After this he said 'That's it. I'm going!' To which one girl shouted 'No!' So persuaded, he went into She Rules My World Show Two Aeroplane Vampire Song Flying Dog Crazy Boy In Our Time Karmageddon Before They Put Me In The Ground The Verse Time Forgot Blood Song (irritated by some talkers, he broke off to tell them ' Shut up will ya. This is for my daughter'. But it ended up an extended version) Radio Silence Building Our Own Temple/Don't Believe The Hype Sunshine I Hate The White Man (yes, really! Only a bit, but it was there) Titties & Beer The last song...? I dunno. Forgot. We were all up dancing on the stage at that point. Someone remember what it was?
Aberrant behaviour? What's this? I require a full report of BC's conduct on my desk by tomorrow morning! And what exactly does the expression 'shake his booty' mean? Please explain yourself madame in plain English! c/a :seeya: Inspector Clouseau [aka Clueless]
