I do believe the hype, Shaun - it's my day job! Latest Twitter funny (it really is like another life there), the Reverend desperately trying to score dope in deepest, darkest Surrey (that man's a lege!). And my personal highlight - and you'll all know how I feel about this (like a chuffed fan!) - The Twang on the tour bus from Puklelpop fest in Belgium telling me that all my support hadn't gone unnoticed. Really made up! I do it because my heart's there, but nice to feel it's appreciated.
You are... You are appreciated...don't give up your crepuscular/nocturnal jobs in the plural! Lets all give Linn a group hug from us out here who respect her inputs! No not implants! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: andi
Aww, thanks Andi: I appreciate THAT too! I thought this was going to be a relatively 'quiet' period for me, instead it's all going off!
Is? LPR/ Is that correct you're corresponding with Liam Gallagher on Twitter? You'd better keep it quiet on here! Or is it the Man City/Roy connect bandwagon ? c/a
Now you know I can't possibly discuss my and Liam's relationship! But he does love my Val Doonican/Paddy McGinty jumper/LG homage idea (heaven knows where he heard about it though) - as do a lot of people. Think I should patent that idea...still working on the prototype...slow going: knit one...pearl one...drop one.... This is funny. Don't know if any of you are Razorlight fans? I think this is a true story, but haven't seen it out anywhere, but told to me by a TWAG yesterday. Razorlight on bus homeward from V...one of them (forgotten who...not sure if Johnny B) opens a door to go to toilet....it's the exit door ...lands on M1! He was carted off to hospital but okay bar bruised and cut. But what made me laugh was wondering whether he ever did finish what he was going to the loo to do!!!
Good feature piece in the Evening Standard today: 'Masters of the Twitterverse'. It takes a look at Twitter's top tweeters and what the site offers. As it's been valued this week at £600 million, well, it must be doing something right! I think those who use it in the right way, do get something out of it. But you have to engage with others and build it up. Doesn't really work if all you do is just post statements and never tweet replies. And that particularly applies to artists who have fan followers. Blimey, every time I get a Twang reply, I go 'woo, Phil tweeted MEEE!' (mmm, childish, I know!). Twitter has really changed my life in these last 4 months. Made lots of contacts, got work via it, made numerous new friends - a number of whom I have now met in 'real life' - and a few very special ones. And it is so so good for getting the news hot off the action as it happens, that you just don't get elsewhere.
