Well, almost at the end of another year. How was it for you? And what are you hoping for next year? Personally, it was a year of two halves. The first 6 months pretty run of the mill, but the last 6 have been some of the best ever for me. Bar the 5 weeks of swine flu and complications, I have had a few dreams realised and things this time last year I never thought would come about, but which amazingly have. Got to give thanks to Twitter too which has changed a lot in my world and brought me a host of what have become good friends and colleagues. If 2010 continues in the same vein, I shall be well happy!
Errrrrrrrr, a decade has slipped by too! Where the hell did that go? Time needs to slow down a little me thinks.
i loved 2009 - i saw some fantastic places, met some lovely people, had a few dreams come true and that sort of thing. twitter and facebook took the shine off it a little but even those two couldnt really spoil it.
2009 was great! I celebrated my first anniversary as a Stormcocker and re-discovered my other favorite Don Quixote (Phil Proctor and Pals, the Firesign Theatre) now online! Phil actually narrated/performed much of Cervante's story with the extremely talented LA Guitar Quartet in a number of venues, and day's later I was reminded of Roy's common interest/identification with Quixote. I also began to get more of the ideas behind the tale. Definitely a cool coincidence of my fandoms. Too bad I discovered a performance was ten minutes away a few hours before the show, but it was live online! What more could I possibly desire than all you good peace-loving friends of all kinds from around the world? It seems I haven't had as much time to visit the site lately -- I also regret I haven't officially registered as a "Fire-Head" yet. I'm a "giant glowing gasbag" (LIBRA-Air Sign) like ROY (Gemini), but insanity comes in all shades and flavors. Anyway, where was I going? Saw and met Nick in Chicago, so that was another cool first. Turned 50 last October, and I remain ultimately positive about the human race and my life. Caught up with almost all the great Roy songs I've missed over 25-30 years and have gotten a few more friends interested in his music. Best to all, and TM is right. Where did the last decade go? (Down the toilet with Bush and Bin Laden). Cheers, ALL, and keep the music blasting through the Apocalypse!:m23::Angel_anim:
