Aarrgh, just too many gigs going on - my spirit is far more willing than the rest of me!

Great in last weeks have been Clock Opera - Guy on the old tin kettle is a fun section - who truly were a delight each and every time seen in last 2 months. Same goes for Other Lives - vast array of instruments and a spacious panoramic sound. Zulu Winter, less than half a dozen gigs done, yet already have ladies throwing their bras on stage at them! Seen twice and totally in love with - not least that their lovely vox Will got me in the back door at last night's show after the venue was so rammed that even the guestlisters were being turned away.

And, of course, Chapel Club *sigh* Too unwell to make the whole tour, but got in the last 3 nights. New synthy sound and one or two real growers in the new material. Such a joy to see them headline to 1500 at Shepherds Bush Empire. And the sweetest, most lovely thing that Lewis did that I felt very humbled and touched by was to dedicate a song to me for the support and stuff I had shown them. Trouble was, while he was in the middle of this pre-planned little speech, I was ... TALKING!! ... so missed the whole thing! Bit embarrassing as he caught me too, ha! I hadto get him to repeat the whole thing later to me at the post-show do. And, I got a blog review mention (a change to be in a review, instead of writing them!) too, en français, though.

Ian Anderson plus wonderful band and Greg Lake at Salisbury Cathedral, Saturday last.

Utter magical, still feeling warm and fuzzy and smiling intermittently.

    Genius.

I've just spent an evening in nthe company of The Imagined Village. Highly recommended if you are not precious about your folk being "traditional". Fusion par excellence.

Really liked their first album; yet to see them live.

Saw Justin Currie, ex Del Amitri, at the Tunion Chapel on Friday - awesome.

Was a great weekend, with Luton losing the Conference play off!!
