    My favourite bit was
That could so have equally been "Everyone in the audience was so pissed off with her. She just was so annoying talking through all the songs we wanted to listen to but try as we might to get her to hush she wouldn't have it. I was dying for her to be kicked out, so when Prince came over and said that, I think I speak for everyone when I say we were relieved. Ok, so the girl looked so upset but she deserved everything she got!"

Bloody reporters eh Linn? Always warping the true story for one that sells! :)

For me ... it can not ever get any worse ( or at least I hope not ) !

Well we've all had gigs ruined because of one of two "idiots" talking through the gig .. but my experience yesterday was surely the worst ?!? Here is an email that I have just sent to the Railway Inn in Winchester ( regarding yesterday's Chuck Prophet gig ) along with Chuck's management :

and before anyone says anything regarding my previous comments on this venue - yes the first paragraph above is slightly cheesy !!

Sometimes it pays to complain !!

In case anyone is interested ... after I sent the above email on Sunday at 9:30pm ... I got a reply within the hour from Chuck Prophet's manager who wasn't very happy about what I wrote !! On the spot he offered me a free guest list ticket for any of the other Chuck gigs on the tour ( alas they are all up north now ) ... but more exciting ( for me ) he has arranged for the official recording from the sound desk to be sent to me ... which I thought was a right result ... although that was not all he did. He also forwarded my email on to the promotor of the gig and said that the promoter would contact me direct !!

Now I waited for 5 days ... and no email, or so I thought - the promoter sent me a new email, which got anti-spammed and so I only read it yesterday ... and boy what an email (!) ... 4 pages long and also sent very late on the Sunday night ( well actually 3:00am on the Monday morning ) !! Apparently he reckons that the Railway is the only venue in the country ( now the Luminaire has closed down ) that make an effort ( though in my opion - not much on an effort ! ) to make sure everyone is silent during the performance - by giving everyone a slip of paper before the gig ( ie before you enter a very dark room !! ) AND announcing it before the gigs start ( although only before the support act - not the main act !? ).

Now I'll not mention everything in his email or post it on here ... as IMHO if the bride ever read his reply - she wouldn't be too chuffed ( not that I'm that personally bothered how she feels - but wouldn't want to rock the boat anymore, until I see if the promoter now does what he says he will ) ... but he told me in great lengths how hard it is to put on gigs, how he got assurance ( from the best man ) that there wouldn't be any roudiness with the wedding party (?!) and how pissed off he was that I just didn't email him ( instead of the venue and the management ) - I quickly replied and said that I didn't know who the chuff he was, until the management told me !!

Anyway, he couldn't apologise enough and has now offered to pay back my ticket money ... AND my petrol money ...so if that happens AND I get a recording of the gig ... I'll be rather pleased with myself for complaining !! Also just adds to the bonus of knowing that the bride was well annoyed and pissed off ... on her wedding day - RESULT !!!!
