Travellerman Aye lad, I knew you had it in you

Yes, caught an episode a week or two before, not much else going on at the weekend for me these days ;)

I saw the airport clip on youtube, but didn't find that part so funny. On the one hand, the series is hilarious but there are moments of cliched slapstick that weaken things somewhat. I'm still looking for the clip I referred to earlier .

Haven't seen Spaced, it's the just the news for me and Inspector Morse, oh! and River Cottage too if I can find an episode showing :D Though I suppose the question these days is 'has Hugh F-W really downsized at all?' His whole RC empire seems to have grown since those early, halcyon days based in the original River Cottage (which had previously been the old Etonians holiday retreat anyway).

NoCelebrity Aye lad, I knew you had it in you

I remember the remake of "Fawlty Towers" w/ John Laroquette. I think it managed 13 episodes--one more than John Cleese's original--but it failed (it wasn't awful, it was "different"). I remember there was a US remake of "Coupling" that failed quickly. Still can't watch "The Office" or anything with Steve Carrell (or Will Farrell-rhymes) in it. Fox-TV did a movie of Doctor Who where Sylvester McCoy passed the torch to the... eighth??? Back to the Scots...

I have to agree... the originals are generally the best. Of course, we usually see them on PBS without commercials

Yes you did, and wibbled in my podcast thread!:D

Sapphire and Steele...? was that the one with David McCallum in? Was it 70s or 80s? Good recall to remember a certain episode. I can remember the name, but not what it was about. Were they investigators of some sort?

What was the name of that 60s (I think) series which I saw on one of those TV clips of the past progs, which starred Joel Fabiani and maybe Rosemary Nicol and it was a team that (again, I think) had some kind of psychic link and communicated that way?

And who remembers the koala bears Tinga and Tucker, and their friends Willie Wombat and Katie Kookaburra in an Australian children's series?!

All irregularities will be handled by the forces controlling each dimension.
Transuranic, heavy elements may not be used where there is life.
    Medium atomic weights are available:
Gold, Lead, Copper, Jet, Diamond, Radium, Sapphire, Silver and Steel.
Sapphire and Steel have been assigned.

Did anyone see FlashForward tonight? (repeated tomorrow I think, if you didn't). I'm hooked! Joseph Fiennes is always a good watch (wondered how he gets on with his ex-sister-in-law?!). If you don't know what it's about, it's basically that the whole world blanks out for 2 mins and when they come round they all have had a vision in that time of what they'll be doing on a certain date, six months on. It's made by the same people who did Lost, so not surprisingly it's running for 22 weeks! I haven't read the book it's based on, but rather wish I could have a vision too - of the end! Lol. That's a long TV haul.

    Don't usually

Don't usually watch scifi but it was good and recommended in the TV mag so I thought I'd give it a try. There are a few games like Armageddon on the computer which some of my friends are totally addicted to. Wouldn't be surprised if they make a playable game out of it oneday.
