Started watching Harper's Island as the name caught my attention for some reason  but I have to say I'm utterly hooked - up to episode 6 of 13 so far, it was a bit US soap-y at the start but now it's lots of intrigue, mystery, blood and guts :D

I saw Flashforward, thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out. Hope it doesn't meander & lose itself up its own backside like what Lost did (or so I believe, thankfully I never watched it).

Also watched Ross Noble doing his Billy Connolly thing, thought that was a bit meh.

Bit of a good night on the old telly box, weren't it!

Repeat of Robbie at Electric Proms on the red button; the bigamist/fantasist/'escort' doc on C4; Fearne Meets Paris Hilton (who was the more vacuous?) on ITV2; great Question Time and Doves at Electric Proms. Can't remember when I last watched so much.

No TV apart from the news at the moment, there's nothing worth watching - but Ray Mears will be back on this weekend I believe :D

Flashforward is GREAT so far, the big man and I are totally enthralled by it - and we do have the same fear that it'll go the way of Lost but I don't think JJ Abrams has anything to do with it so it's probably safe...

Harper's Island was a fantastic series, would highly recommend it (for those with a strong stomach for blood splatter LOL), we were totally befuddled by the perpetrator(s) almost to the very end!

And yet another Masterchef series down, very enjoyable it was but the brand is getting a bit ubiquitous. I figure the BBC will have it on all year round soon at this rate!

I thought "LIFE" was an excellent cop drama, poorly rated, probably over after a couple years on NBC earlier this year.

NCIS is my favorite drama now, and has been since I discovered it in its second season (balanced between witty and gritty). On CBS.

If you ever liked STAR WARS, check out the animated series CLONE WARS (the newer version) now in its second season on the Cartoon Network. Like what "FLASH GORDON" tried to be 50+ years ago (I'm reaching here...).

MONK is a fair Comedy/Drama that is coming to a close, sure to bring tears and cheers assuming he finally solves his wife's murder.

Get all my news from THE DAILY SHOW with Jon Stewart (not really, but his commentary is both more cutting AND more thorough and fair than the REAL NEWS).

I can second the vote for NCIS. What I initially feared was a jingoistic pro-military copy of CSI has turned into a great drama that I really like (we're working our way through series 4 at the moment).

    Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS)

It's a different producer and development team than CSI. Same producer as Magnum P.I. and JAG. Not without some "patriotic" drivel, but generally within the story and the positive ethos of the basic characters. Plus, it has David McCallum (sp?)/(son of Roy's former studio musician)/(aka Ilya Kuryakin) as Dr. Mallard -- "Duckie" -- in it. I think it recently passed CSI as #1 rated drama in the U.S.

Really pleased that little Ramona Marquez from Outnumbered picked up one of their 3 awards in the British Comedy Awards - richly deserved, eh, Trav? And don't ask "but whyyyyy?":D

She's quite sensational. Best actress around.

    In fact they're all great.

Yeah, she's sweet, I wouldn't mind one or two like that myself, but as Ed Byrne said last night "what's the point? I'd be too old by the time her friends were all 16":D

So then, what does everyone think about buying Hitler a goose? And can we all sing along to Sex On Fire now? LOL! Classic.

Did anyone catch the 4 hour Peter Bogadovich doc film on BBC4: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Runnin Down A Dream? Went through the first two hours until falling asleep at 6am this morning after getting back from Brighton. Will do last two hours later. Great film, whether or not a Petty fan. What tunes he has spanning 30 years.

Who caught the final 22nd episode of FlashForward tonight? I thought it was superb - despite never having understood any of it! I only saw the first 4 episodes before life intervened! Can anyone explain it and what the end was? What was the wave? Did Mark die? Was the government involved? Was the guy with Mark's wife a goodie or baddie?

2.5 hours of Robert Plant on BBC2 this Saturday! What with X Factor and Strictly currently, Saturday is fast becoming a stay home night.
