NoCelebrity Aye lad, I knew you had it in you

    LZ III degrees of separation

Saw his "Band of Joy" on late night TV doing one song a couple weeks ago, think it was NBC.

Is that Patty Griffin backing up RP in BofJ? Patty (or Patti?) was on "Austin City Limits" maybe three weeks ago, a week before John Paul Jones' and David Grohl's "Them Crooked Vultures" was also on A.C.L. (Supposed to have full episodes at pbs.org). Vultures was pretty cool, JPJ played any number of odd bass instruments with Grohl on drums. The lead singer/guitar and a dual-lead guitarist were good, though I'd never seen them.

I'll be having a Robert Plant stay home evening tomorrow night too. But thankfully without The X Factor :D

Then you no doubt would have missed this! One of my favourite songs ever, performed by the only X Factor artist in its history that I would ever want to see live. Loved this guy from the start. And he's a bit hot looking too!

    Watch and weep.

Totally compelling Leonard Cohen doc 'Bird on a Wire' last night on BBC4. Put together from 3000 restored fragments of previously believed lost footage of his 1972 European tour.

Loved the bit where he fishes in his own pocket for cash to pay back a disgruntled German after the PA packed up in Berlin. And his pick up of a female fan - his art of seduction, hell yeah!

    Hope this gets another showing.

    I thought...

I thought it, and he, were amazing; even got quite emotional sometimes; the reality of him as a genuine person ;totally accorded with his natural songs : bit like Nick really?

Why do I love laments these days more than love songs? Must be getting old!

Probably you may be able to find it on the Internet now?

Which is the Nick song that brings tears eh? Tugs at those emotional strings? Imaginary Friend for me.
