I'm wondering which boat I should buy (view to purchase towards the end of the year). Here are the three I'm considering:

    RS400:

High performance and popular choice for many sailors - though it seems there may be a problem with the newer boats as since they moved their production a lot of people haven't been happy with them.

RS200 - a slightly smaller version which is for lighter weight people. Very competitive fleet racing and I don't think that there is a production problem. Not as powerful so not as fun to sail, although probably advantageous in windy weather:

Critch! My maths ain't that good but I can only count two not three?
Unless you are applying Reduction ad absurdum apagogically where one plus one don't equals two? I would think the answer would very mush depend on your weight and we could have a Poll guessing that maybe??

    andi :wink: :confused1::8:

ps Did you see those three blonde bombshells in their boat on the TV this morning practicing for the Chinese Olympics?

Oh i missed that - maybe i'll flick on news 24 and see if it's on again.

Er, yes, my mistake. There was going to be a third, but then i thought, f it, i'll buy one of those anyway - so i'll have two! Yes, so i forgot to alter the txt to take account of this!

Well you're right, about the weight thing - but i fall bang in between the two! So if i got the smaller one i'd find a smaller crew and vica versa.

Er? Boats which don't leak? Or fall over? I'm suspicious over those. Some of us still remember the titanic...

    Which boat?

Personally, I'd always choose the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry.

Either that, or go by train.

    Much more sensible, and dry.

What's so sensible about going on a train?

Very f-ing funny Paul! Or at least I'm guessing it was Paul! A reliant robin, as far as I'm aware is not a boat!

I was gonna argue this but i can't. Why else would i ask a forum of non-sailors this question?

However, in my defence, sailing is probably cheaper than golf. The membership fees are cheaper, and the boats hold their value so although they cost more, you don't lose much.

hahaha... i had a little panic after my post that you might take it the wrong way. looks like you took it the right way-phew!

i don't get boats, or golf either for that matter...

guitars and footy-that's all there is to me!

just off the top of my head, i'd say 'go for the red one!' ..
