I will admit to being a sceptic and a cynic for some years now but I've always shied away from some of the more bizarre theories that have been punted about the Bush Dynasty, however last night I watched the Loose Change video and was shaken by the implications of what was presented.  Shaken, not because it was implausable.  Just the opposite because it seems eminently plausable.

9/11 has always bothered me.  It never seemed to be real as far as a bunch of fanatical Islamists were concerned.  We can guess how difficult it would be to pull off an organised and coordinated action against an enemy that can fade into the background in Iraq or Afghanistan so surely it must be all the more improbable that it was carried out by a bunch of amateur terrorists.  Planes definitely flew into the twin towers but what flew into the Pentagon and what flew into the field in Pennsylvania?

If the broadcaster who recorded the safe landing of Flight 93 and witnessed passengers being disembarked into a Government building nearby was not mistaken, then what became of the passengers who were later reported as completely disintegrated by the impact of the plane crash along with the plane and all its artefacts including titanium alloys.  And what of the lack of plane wreckage at the Pentagon similarly disintegrated by the heat of the explosion there?

If you suspend your disbelief that these acts were perpetrated by the US Administration then it begs the question as to why they would condone the deaths of so many people.  Is the need to create a big enough threat the only justification for 9/11 so that soldiers could be deployed to Iraq?

If you enjoy a good Frederick Forsythe novel consider this.  Beneath the World Trade Centre 4 was a huge stockpile of Gold ingots estimated to be tens of billions of dollars yet only about two hundred million was recovered from a deserted convoy of trucks and vehicles found under WTC5.  WTC4 collapsed in the late afternoon destroying Stock Exchange investigation evidence into insider trading.  Could the whole World Trade Centre episode have been a huge scam?  Were the twin towers destroyed for insurance purposes and to cover up some building defects involving asbestos and then to steal the gold deposited nearby?  It would have been a particularly callous act to kill nearly 3,000 people in order to steal $Billions of gold ingots.  If someone did use controlled demolition to bring down the towers designed to withstand the impact of an aircraft, then surely they would not be put off to arrange the disappearance of a relatively smaller number of civilian passengers?

What I have suggested here is purely wild speculation and not provable since the evidence does not exist any longer.  It does however make for an incredible screenplay for a movie! I am in no way being disingenuous about any of those poor souls who died that day either as civilians or as fire fighters and police or medics trying to save lives but what if it really was just for money?  There are many questions that have never been adequately answered.

I do think that power is corrupting and that it is not inconceivable for a small group within the establishment to perpetrate such a huge crime if only because it seems so incredible.  Who would believe it?
