Rory McGrath
Normally I find this man extremely unfunny, bordering on odious but now I discover he may have something about him. What was that clip taken from, Paul?
What clip?
Rory McGrath? What on earth are you talking about?
<Paul looks around and whistles innocently>

Brilliant as usual Paul. I particularly liked the version of Short and Sweet . It reminded me of when I saw Roy and Nick play it together ,while heavily stoned after consuming more than I should have, in Exeter a few years ago.
Podcast Appreciation
Thanks Paul, another fine effort that has been greatly appreciated between these ears. Keep 'em coming!
I especially enjoyed hearing the version of 'Short and Sweet', I've never heard that one before.
Oh dear! 12.45 am and I'm up
Oh dear! 12.45 am and I'm up for work in approximately 4 hours, and I'm holding you entirely responsible, Paul!
These should come with a Government Health Warning. Highly addictive, superb quality and that Short and Sweet was an absolute joy.
You're doing what Melvyn Bragg, Jools Holland et al won't. Excellent work, Paul, and it's great to hear contributions from listeners.
N.B Unrelated to the podcasts, but I heard on the radio today that something in the region of 20,000,000 fans tried to get tickets for the Led Zeppelin concert today. Given Roy's association with Jimmy and the band in general, how come when we say "Roy Harper" everyone still says, "Who?"

Short and Sweet - the definite highlight!
Another great podcast, Paul (tell us when you get tired of all this praise - lol).
Yep, I'll concur with all and say that Short and Sweet was a real treat. Nick's (I'll assume that's Nick?) crunching electric guitar on that added a real kick.
Thoroughly enjoyed the interviews as well. They add a really warm touch.
Thanks
Thank you all for your comments. It really does help to receive them... nothing worse than spending ages on something and having no reaction at all, so the knowledge that people are listening and getting something out of it is great!
Paul.
Short and sweet.
Just listened to short and sweet from the podcast, I needed to stop by and complain that I had to stop doing work and just listen for the 10 minutes that was on and I am just going to have to find the tape of that I have as well.

Paul,
thanks again for asking Steve and myself to contribute to this. It was so enjoyable, if not a bit strange to hear my voice as others do. You are really on a roll with these now and the choice of songs has been very well done - I have heard qwite a few that are new to me. Again you are going to read that someone loves Short and Sweet. I first heard David Gilmour's version and fell in love with it then. A gorgeous song.
We're bang in the middle of cricket season here and I will be going to the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne (Aus v India) for a couple of days. Invariably, Roy's music goes around my head at this time, especially you-know-what.
cheers,
Pete
