Hi Paul.
Dave Owen in Manchester here. Thanks for another entertining podcast. I liked Chris's input very much, an American Harper fan, I'd never even thought there was such an animal. It was abvious that he loves Roy and now he knows he is not alone.
I was also intrested to hear about cover versions of Roy's songs. I've seen the Gabriel/Bush version of Another Day on you tube, I like it. What a song that is, no-one could go wrong with it. I'd like to hear The Fall tackle one of Roy's songs, that would be really something, I don't know quite what but it would be something. We went out to see The Fall on Saturday, they were great, no Zappa covers this time though.
Keep the podcast thing going it is very welcome in this house. Luv, Dave, xxx
Come Out Fighting Mark E Smith
I read an interview a few years back with E Smith where he said Roy Harper was "alright". High praise indeed. Seeing The Fall do 'Committed' would be bloody great.
