Gloomy Day in Fife

1975 Tour Schedule n' rambling mess

Since the weather is truly naff today I am stuck in doors mopping up the rain that has for the first time ever of living here leaked in through my Living Room window, the water was bouncing off the window frame and splattered the back of one of my speakers. Not good.

The plus side of being stuck in doors has meant I have had time to watch the Everest Rocks DVD all the way through as well as watching an Andres Segovia DVD  I got a while back. The Everest Rocks is lovely thing and a lot of fun, which if you haven't shed a tear at some point while watching this then you couldn't really have been watching. The Segovia DVD is beautifully done and also has an excellent feature that you can just play the music footage only. I love watching Segovia play, it's so effortless and sounds beautiful. Segovia was quoted as saying 'that he rescued the guitar from the noisy hands of the Flamenco player' I'm not sure he would appreciate what our Nick does to a guitar! BBC 4 are currently showing eight films by the same director of the Segovia film,  Christopher Nupen every Friday evening well worth watching in my opinion.

To get this ramble back on track I was having a rummage around Roy's website and was checking out his links page and came across this page on Chris Spedding's website

http://www.chrisspedding.com/bio/bio5.htm

It has a couple of comments by Roy about the his band Trigger as well as the Tour Schedule. I had no idea about how Chris Spedding and Bill Bruford just didn't see eye to eye. It's also nice to see how highly Roy rates Chris.

Well the rain has eased off so I shall go and get some food in for tea.
