D'all

This is what's going to get me to Snowdon Inshallah!

More comfortable than biking it. Can't build a boat. Carries a tent.

Also hopefully to be in the Thornycroft vintage/unusual car show in Memorial Park, Basingstoke Sunday 10th May 2009.  All welcome.  Beer tent, etc.. but I can't drink coz am driving it 100 yards to my house afterwards!

Amazing!

 Yo!!

My vehicle has been accepted for the Thornycroft Festival of Transport 10th May 2009 at Memorial Park Basingstoke!

A month ago I was a'wandering round East Oakley a'wondering about transport to Wales for the LHSF charity mountain conquests. Then saw a very unusual machine which looked like a cross between a car / motorbike / truck and fell in love with it straightaway and put  down a £100 deposit.

Little did I know the attention it would attract. The first petrol station in Worting I went back to  the pumps and there was a crowd standing around it. Every bus stop queue people would stare, point at it and laugh. The whole fire brigade at the next roundabout all turned round and stared. In Morrisons carpark I came back to it and there was another crowd ogling. Since then wherever I've been in Hampshire / Berkshire / Surrey it has attracted rubbernecks everywhere , turning around in their vehicles and not concentrating on their driving whilst overtaking. The vehicle has literally changed my life overnight and can now tour all the auto-shows in Europe now. With guitar?

The good news is that it has automatically increased the collector's value / price vastly and will fit in a family tent. People have come up to me in the street and offered me immediate cash ; but it ain't for sale. I feel like Arthur Daley. It also does 90 mph, before tuning the carb [watch out for aero-takeoffs at humpback bridges!] , has a phenomenallly low petrol usage , and feels like driving a mini-coupe rally car. It has Bridgestone mini snow tyres on it and can zip round rounabouts like a speedy super Mario bumper car.

The bad news is that I am not an attention seeker [some of you may disconcur with that!  ] but am gradually getting used to the adulation. If  I want to remain anonymouse    will just have to use public transport when I go to my dealer.  And Andrew no drinking and driving!
