Songs of Love from The Dream Society

An interview with Aaro Koskinen

Here is Aaro and the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957) in the mystical forests of Helsinki - if you read the liner notes of "Flat Baroque & Berserk" carefully you can find a mention of one his compositions, "Karelia"

Aaro says:

However it's in Finnish - but - it may be also readable using Google's translation service (which I think it's fascinating although far from accurate :-)):

Competition?

PD/

Surely if we put our entries here others can inveigle them? Unless I'm in the wrong place or misconstrued which is not unusual for me!

Thanks for latest POD - each one I put up on my Desktop as a shortcut and it's getting rather full!

Going to be interesting when you get beyond the door of Z - Aardvark song maybe for AA? Eating Ant musik! Of course it could be Aaro!!

Would love to see how you organise all your stuff on the computer. I bet you've got it all filed ergonomically at the touch of a button.

And special thanks to Aaro for his very informative Tab site which I have used many many times over the years.

I too had presumed he was an old Roy afficiando approaching old age with great relish and not

in the flower of his youth.

Cheers for noodles....

Hi Andi Tis true other folks

Hi Andi

Tis true other folks will be able to see other folks answers but then I'm not going to be telling anyone if they are right or not till the next Podcast.

I will use the forum's date and time of posting combined with the right answers to judge who sussed it first and or got the most correct answers. So if someone uses someone else's answers their posting on the forum will be a later date and therefore they won't win.

One thing I should say is that a closing date will have to be before Paul puts his podcast together so if it is alright with Paul I will make the closing date midnight Saturday 30th May to give me Sunday morning to record my segment and get it over to Paul on Sunday afternoon.

Final thing it would be better (just to keep thing in one place) if folks post their answers within the forum under the section for Podcasts and in particular the post for Podcast 22 that is there already ie here

Cheers

Yes, that's perfect. I anticipate putting it together on Sunday afternoon/evening and publishing on Monday morning.

Well

Well let's hope you get a better response than I did with my quizes, polls and feeback voicemail for the Pods, Hors D'O magazine input requests and Song Club analysts! I'm afraid I'm not that in depth knowledgeable to join in but vaguely recognise a couple of the snippets.

Cheers

I can't believe that, you have been a very vocal supporter of all things Harper over the years so I'm sure you have quite a breadth of knowledge. Go on give it a try nothing ventured nothing gained. Any road up you would then be the first contestant as I got a PM from my first actual contestant last night but as he has the DVD already he wants it to go to someone who hasn't got it so you could in fact be the first contestant.

Cheers

So...

So you are accepting PM entries as well then? That might suit me better and can hide my ignorance under a cloak of non-bold anonymity. I always thought bold type was easier to read? But I only have to be told once.
