If we are to live in a material world with our economic models; where every corporation has to show growth, then the whole edifice has to crumble eventually, because the Earth is only finite. Syllogistically [sp?] speaking.
There must be an ism for this impending scenario?
Oh yeah, it's called realism!
Unless, unless,we get out to develop the universal neighbourhood around us....somehow, slowly, slowly, by each generation, before everything implodes upon us.
Time is against us. Like most things living.
Only the best, fittest people will be selected for long space travel so we are still propogating the strongest of our kindred. Whilst the rest of the species dies hopefully not an agonising catastrophic Armageddon.
Sorry not feeling negative at all tonight, just fed up with all the economic fallacy we have to endure through the mass media.
