Isms...

aspwatterson's picture
If we are to live in a material world with our economic models; where every corporation has to show growth, then the whole edifice has to crumble eventually, because the Earth is only finite. Syllogistically [sp?] speaking. There must be an ism for this impending scenario? Oh yeah, it's called realism! Unless, unless,we get out to develop the universal neighbourhood around us....somehow, slowly, slowly, by each generation, before everything implodes upon us. Time is against us. Like most things living. Only the best, fittest people will be selected for long space travel so we are still propogating the strongest of our kindred. Whilst the rest of the species dies hopefully not an agonising catastrophic Armageddon. Sorry not feeling negative at all tonight, just fed up with all the economic fallacy we have to endure through the mass media. andi

Universal objectivism

When you next look around the room when people are there, forget them as friends and their quirky ways, which you have always taken for granted....but analyse them objectively as a form of species acting in peculiar ways. The bloke in the corner could be a Neanderthal ape rolling tobacco which has evolved into centuries of a developed habit.Perhaps even our fingers dexterity could be attributed to such behaviour? Once the human species start to not take themselves too seriously then they will accord with the eternal spirit. We are not lonely! There is a crowd out there clamouring to get in! Hopefully one day scientifically we'll find the irrefutable proof. Meanwhile...st..str..strolling on.... Andi http://www.youtube.com/user/ASPWATTERSON

Stormcockism

Stormcock was released in 1971 so next year is a 40th anniversary. Something to celebrate I suppose. I still find the most amazing thing about it's gestalt permanence; is,how,no matter the many levels of interpretation and lifetimes endured absorbing; it always impacts like a mental realtime journey through the whole gambit of one's contemporaneous empirical consciousness. Bringing you back to a base whilst having experienced / experimentated being through the washing machine. Rhymes with plasticene! Questioning oneself never-ending. No ego is allowed. It's nothing clever at all really.Once you've been on that tidal wave you'll know. It''ll never leave you for the rest of your time here Mr.McGoohan. Damn it all man can't you see??? andi

Descendantism...

Just a quickie.. Descendants of Smith basically is an incredible prediction of us using our mental resources in this current space of time. Correctly. Some have been to the antipodes, with or without stimuli, and hopefully back. It's an experiment but definitely can positively progress the mind into ethical positivism. Should not be negated unlike some religious beliefs. Garden of Uranium gives us the scientific viewpoint. Which I find comforting. Think Nick likes going down that path also. Some of my best friends a retired mathematicians stuck on crosswords. Never Suduko! andi
