Should have said.. 20th September. and Will actually be on two nights. There's a half hour show on the Tuesday (20th) and an extended version on the Friday (23rd)... Later is a TV show broadcast in the UK by the BBC. It has an excellent reputation for showcasing all kinds of musicians playing live. Let's hope this helps to remind some oldies about him, and introduce him to some not-so-oldies...

Earlier today Roy posted this to his facebook account:
This is great news, I wonder
How?
How does one get tickets for something like this?

Ticket applications were from here but you've unfortunately missed the boat. Later tickets are allocated at random and demand well outstrips supply. To add frustration, you don't know who's appearing and when, at the time that you apply, so it's all pot luck.
Otherwise, it'd a case of knowing one of the guests and seeing if you could blag a place from them. Even knowing a BBC worker is unlikely to get you anywhere, as they generally wouldn't have access to places unless they were involved in the production itself.
On the bright side, having applied for Later tickets for years, I've got my first pair for next week's show where, along with Roy, Snow Patrol and others will be appearing. Looking forward to it - it's a show I've always wanted to get to!
