Howdy all!

My name is Hadrian Belove, and I'm a film programmer in Los Angeles. I'm trying to put together a Roy Harper night, centered around the film MADE, but including as much rare footage as I can find. If anyone has anything they could contribute that would be much appreciated--at the moment, I'm most obsessed with finding a decent copy of Live in Your Living Room.

Best,

Hello Hadrian,

Welcome to the site. That sounds amazing!

If you want I'll put a message out about this event on the next RH podcast - due out on May 1 - assuming that's not too late.

I've had it in my mind to do a "Made" special for ages now, for when I am lacking an interviewee one month, but that isn't likely to happen for a while yet. I know a lot of fans have never seen the film, or only on very poor quality VHS. Do you have access to a proper film print?

I've never owned a copy of "Live In Your Living Room" unfortunately so I can't help you with that. Have you contacted Roy/Tracy about this endeavour?

Cheers

Paul.

That looks like a great little cinema! I love these places, unfortunately so many have disappeared here, in favour of the multiplex / car park / shopping centre.

These were my main haunts when I was in Cali, http://www.sebastianitheatre.com/cgi-bin/home.cgi

Good luck with the Made project, it was on TV here years ago and I was lucky to see it then. I hope someone has preseved it, the reels intact etc... I think it would be great to see a re-issue of Live in Your Living Room on DVD too, but I'm not holding my breath for that! :D

Well they certainly do exist ( somewhere ) because they showed it at The Barbican in 2006 ( http://www.barbican.org.uk/film/event-detail.asp?ID=3943 ) which fortunately I was there. That was a special night ... something that I thought I would never see on the big screen ... the night was made even more special, when Roy got on stage to introduce the film. I think most of the audience didn't know who he was ... they seemed to be media students coming along for some cheap old films !!

That must have been great! I love seeing movies on the big screen like that. I saw Local Hero again in California, afterwards there was a Q&A with Peter Riegert... it was a really nice evening. I also saw Whisky Galore on the big screen in Sydney too... wonderful! :D
