2 new forum options

Hi folks

I've added 2 things to the forums today.

1) A new panel at the bottom to show who's visited in the last 24 hours.
2) A new chat facility on the forums, at the bottom on the main forum index page. Nobody ever used the old chat facility on the front page of stormcock.net so I removed that a while back and thought I'd try one here since people spend much more time on the forums than anywhere else.

I don't get how the numbers work, ie it's saying there were 22 members online at one time today...? Surely not?:confused1: Or have I read it wrong?

It's aggregated over the last 24 hours on a rolling timeslot basis. So in your example, in the last 24 hours 22 distinct members had looked at the forums. It doesn't include guests.

Did we lose the calendar at the bottom in favour of the chatbox?

Not at all. There weren't any events in the next 21 days so it wasn't being shown. I just added one for the next podcast by way of demo.

Ah, right. I wondered afterwards if it was because no events - but didn't test it!
