I was listening to the radio earlier and they were talking about favourite chocolate bars and in particular, the ones no longer around.
Who remembers the Frys Assorted Chocolate Cream that had a different flavour each piece? I loved those. And Bar 6 which was like a Kit Kat, but crispier as I recall. Ah, those were the days!

Used to love Mint Cracknell!
Was that a two part chocolate covered thing, with a green inside which had a strange sort of crystally texture?
If it was, it was my favourite only I couldnt remember the name, its been driving me mad for years trying to remember what it was called nobody I have spoken to remembers what Im talking about.
If it wasnt does anybody remember what Ive described?

Might have been, now you mention it...?...or...was there one called Icebreaker? Maybe I've imagined that? but it was crackly/crystally the one I'm thinking of.
Ice Breaker is the one you're thinking of, I think... I can remember my Grandad buying some for me. But I can remember something called Cracknell as well. Very confusing.
Oh - I just found http://www.escape-to-the-seventies.com/sweets/sweets.php which has been the source of much reminiscing... sounds like Ice Breaker and Cracknell were similar.
I also remember Space Dust, plus it being banned at one point for being dangerous to health.

I made a film in college called "a Pop-Rock Orange." Couldn't find the candy for a decade after that, then it reappeared suddenly. So many candies, the food network is always doing stories about American Candies I've never heard of. Did "Mythbusters" do a Pop Rocks segment, or was that just mentos and a 2-L bottle of diet coke?
Why stop at candy? My favorite jalapeno cheese spread was bought by a competitor and phased out. I didn't like any of their cheeses. Merkt's Cheese from Bristol, Wisconsin is owned by Kaukauna now (yeech!). I'm sure PD etal are in agreement:D!!!

How many D-list child stars did legend say died from eating Pop Rocks and Coke?
I am not a big candy bar person here (except for Mint Munchies, aka Mintolas), but I have to get my Junior Mints and caramel bullseyes fix while I'm home...

Good shout about Icebreaker, too.
Vaguely remember one called Tiffin being really nice, too. Showing my age...

Hey, I was thinking about Tiffin the other day! Was that the one that was (slightly) like a Cadburys Fruit and Nut?

Well not being a chocolatey person I would have guessed peppermint creams? Chocolate don't go with alcohol especially six in the morning.
