Wotcha PB!
I probably owe loads of apologies to everyone at the Pacific Road gig, so here we go:
Sorry to your mate who came along but I didn't see her.
Dur.
Sorry to Linn, who did turn up and then lost me.
Dur.
Sorry to Critch for not being able to talk in any recognisable language to him.
Dur.
Sorry to the organisers for looking for trouble.
Dur.
Sorry to Harpic for not being able to recognise him.
BUT...
NOT sorry to the fat-arsed ugly bouncer (gagging for a bad hiding) who wouldn't let me go back stage to talk to Nick.
There.
I think that's it.

There's two rounds for a reason. I doubt even you would debate that Liverpool were the better team for most of the game, had most of the decent chances, and Chelsea were feckin' jammy that we f'd up.
And lucky the wind wasn't stronger, or I suspect Drogba might have snapped in half, the diving wee sh*BEEP*.

No, I wouldn't as I don't much care either way! I only have a (very very) slight allegiance to the Blues as they were THE team of my teens. Then later when I started work, part of one company was home to a footie agent who represented two of my Chelsea heroes. Big thrill to meet my idols. One who was lovely and so nice, now sadly deceased. The other was another George Best and became an alcoholic, but he was the David Beckham of his time.

That had to be one of the greatest OGs I've ever seen, both for timing and for execution.
By the way, I thought Drogba was supposed to have been cured of his tendency to, not to put too fine a point on it, CHEAT. If last night was anything to go by, he's developing a whole new range of "let's try to con the ref" techniques.
Torres. Mmm.
As a neutral observer, I have been very impressed this season, particularly because, watching him on Sky last year at Athletico Madrid, he was the sort of player who fell over if a defender looked at him from a range of 5 yards. At least he seems to have got over that and scored some great stuff this year. But last night, he didn't really turn up, did he? apart from one magnificent ghosting past about five SW London statues. God! I hate Chelsea.
On much more important matters, what are AFC Wimbledon's chances of promotion now?

Pompey v Cardiff at Wembley..an all blue FA Cup final with all the Reds under their beds! Probably will support Pompey but still be happy for Cardiff if they dare and snatch it! Is it true that the winner is automatically in Europe next year so Pompey would not have to worry about their League performance placing?

sounds like a typical chelsea fan lacking in any sort of enthusiasm towards their team.. no wonder passionless bridge is so dull and boring, and voted the most characterless ground in the world...
so if youre not a proper chelsea fan youre not allowed to say anything about liverpool , so there :P

My main wish for tonight's game is that Drogba and Ashley Cole get their come-uppance for all their play acting, whingeing and general bad sportsmanship, that John Terry discovers that you can be a captain without screaming in the face of the referee, and that Roman Abramovich discovers how to wear a tie.
God, I hate Chelsea.
But at least AFC Wimbledon have reached the play off final in the Ryman League. Away to Staines on Saturday.
Q: How do you defeat Staines?
A: Try Vanish Pink.
OK I'll shut up now.

Yeah, sorry I did realise, but had no time to edit man!! Depends how you pronounce 'Half' and 'Harf' I suppose and which part of the country you're from pastorally, linguistically, intrinsically indigeneously. I always say the glass is 'alf full and not 'arf empty because I'm a Southern positive mega-male negative trying to look at things positively when everything is negative around you all surrounding! Mind you when I went North I loved the way they pronounced things like for a stove in Bolton as a 'cooooooooker' like wood pidgeon English!

If there any gamblers out there and you put £10 down for the above score and Kanoo to get the first goal you win back £390!! Come on the Blues!! Which one though? Still in two minds...I think a safer bet would be Portsmouth to score without Cardiff scoring anything, but who knows as anything can happen in the glorious game.

Brilliant day yesterday. Cynical, miserable moaning git that I usually am, I loved the whole occasion - the flag waving, the singing (but not the warbling women that did Abide With Me and the National Anthems), the ticker-tape, the hugging strangers at the end, the kids with face paint, the idiots in fancy dress, the cars, vans, buses all decked out in Pompey regalia, the messages of congratulations from strangers and friends I haven't spoken to for ages...... all of it was absolutely wonderful, oh, and the football too!
Nice weather for a victory parade to Southsea common this afternoon.
Now for Europe..... to be continued.

In amongst all the joyous reporting of Pompey winning the cup, the daily mail ran a story about Alan Hudson having to sell his medals to stay afloat and the fact that Chelsea with all their billions have not helped one of their favourite sons.
Not only does this reflect the sad state of football but the picture of him looked truly awful, he is almost 57 but looked much, much older.
After a wonderful weekend this bought me to earth with a bump.

As I've said before, I hate Chelsea, and that news just confirms my detestation.
But, at another level, my second favourite team, after AFC-W, the Grecians from the other St James Park, made it back where they belong in the Football League.
Two promotions in one season. I can now watch the cricket in peace and hope that the Moscow final is a boring 0-0 draw AET, and that they all miss their penalties so that the gruesome gum-chewing dictator of Old Trafford has to wrestle Avram Grant to decide the outcome, with Grant to win by one fall and a submission.
