The Phoenix looked pretty full for Nick's set, despite the footie being on and the rail non-strike.

Nick was on good form: a little fun with hecklers and a stomp around the audience during Love Junky – well, as best as he could in the Phoenix.

I lost my live string-break cherry during Karmageddon… which was nice. With no spare strings in his back pockets or on stage, Nick had to take a trip off-stage, lob his guitar case onto the stage, then rummage around it for a replacement string! And the bugger kept the song going throughout!

Bumped into Mike Last after the gig and had a bit of a natter. And happy to meet Nick this time and thank him for Imaginary Friend, which is a special song for me.
