I don't know if anyone listens to "folkcast". It's a wonderful monthly podcast done by Ken Nicol and Phil Widdows, see http://www.folkcast.co.uk/
Last episode they had some preview tracks from a new "Dark Folk" compilation called John Barleycorn Reborn, and this set has just become available for instant download and also for purchasing on old-fashioned CD. See http://www.john-barleycorn-reborn.com/ for full information.
It might be of particular interest to Harperites, since one of the bands on the compilation is "Mary Jane", and features Jo Quinn who's active on the email version of stormcock (not sure if she looks in here). The songs are, well, varied and interesting. Suggest you give the last folkcast a listen first and see if you like the samples they play there. I'm very taken with it so far though I've only listened to the first of the 3 CDs you get on the download version.
Paul.
