Moseley Folk Festival - free Fairports etc

Is anyone here thinking bout attending the Moseley Folk festival in Birmingham this weekend? There were 2 or 3 'Cockers there last year. Great little festival, no camping but a tremendous lineup this year - Fairports, with Swarbrick, Kate Rusby, Alisdair Roberts, Tunng, Rory McLeod, Davey Graham, Jim Moray, Martha Tilston and lots more : http://www.moseleyfolk.co.uk

I've got a family ticket which covers 2 adults and 2 children and there's now only me and Ricky going so there is room on it for an adult and an under-16 year old. You wouldn't need to hang around with us, just to meet up to get the wristbands sorted out on Saturday morning!

We've actually got a twin room booked in a nearby hotel for Friday and Saturday nights so there would also be a bed if needed - and a lift if you're travelling from the North East or somewhere in between here and Brum.

I might pop along as I have to be in Brum on Sunday night (one of my artists, Senses, are doing a session on Janice Long's show in early hours of Monday. Listen in, everyone, if you're NOT at Moseley), but I don't need a ticket. May see you there - or not as it's always hard to spot people at these things!

Janice is compering the festival, as she did last year, local lass I believe. She did give it plenty of publicity, last year, had Nick on the show a couple of nights later etc. Don't suppose you could drag Nick along for an impromptu set, could you, he seemed to enjoy himself last year!

Yes, Jan lives down the road! We met her at Moseley for the first time last year, and then went back to Brum for her show in October. Nick will do Moseley next year. This year it was Carl's decision to have a different line-up to last. But when we met a few months ago he reiterated that, so I shall be holding him to it!
