Like the twit I am I've gone and got train tickets to get to the gig but am assuming I can buy tickets at the door.
Anyone know if this is a risky plan?

It's been okay in the past hon  I'm sure there'll be a ticket around!
When are you getting there, do you think? I'm expecting to prop up the bar for a few hours - I have all these grand plans for touristy stuff but as soon as I feel the cold I'll want a pint :D xx

Fantastic night last night! The Cluny is one of my fave venues anyway, and it didn't disappoint. About 100 in the crowd, lots of familiar faces, and Nick going on (with a break) for almost 3 hours. Though it's a real bugger trying to sell CDs when the artiste won't stop playing the last note on the 12 string for 10 minutes. :D I wonder if anyone's got a pic of him playing and signing CDs with the Sharpie in his teeth LOL...
Setlist for all of you - much shouting for Titties n Beer but that didn't work, however the person who really wanted Song of Madness won
SET 1
Shadowlands
Blood Song
Son Shine
Evo
The Field of the Cloth of Gold
Simple
SET 2
Building Our Own Temple (with added To Hell With Poverty)
Glittering Eye/The Kilty Stone
Story of My Heart
Freestyle
Hey Bomb
Passing Chord
Song of Madness
By My Rocket Comes Fire
Imaginary Friend
Galaxy Song
Love is Music medley (with the last note of Headless held for 37 seconds  )
ENCORE
Riverside
Happy Man (for about 10 minutes after the gig too LOL)

All I can say is I am intensely envious of daughter #3 who made it the gig, got a kiss from his Nickship, accused of being a student (which made her night, agewise) and has now promised never to wash again. Eeeugh.
Apart from the kiss, and the washing bit, I'd have loved to have been there.

SCORE! How you can play guitar and sign CDs at the same time - thanks Karin :D

Bit late but better late than never.
My wife and I went to the Cluny gig on 20th November and what a time we had! Nick came on to stage at 8.50pm and apart from a 20 or so minute break was there until 12 midnight, strumming away while the audience filed out into the night. I left hoping hope he wouldn't do any more numbers after we left as he was on top form and I wouldn't like to have missed any more of his fabulous tunes!
The setlist was excellent (as you can see from Paula's post) and I was particularly pleased that he played Riverside, one of my longstanding faves, and of course Temple was a tour de force as usual, possibly my favourite of all his songs, certainly when played live (and coincidentally it has just started playing as I type!). Freestyle and Song of Madness were requests I think. Unfortunately at the distance of nine days I can't remember details of the between song banter but I do remember that the string break wasn't carried off with quite his usual elan – he couldn't seem to be able to locate the hole with the end of the string so it was rather more disjointed than usual. Despite this the concert was a triumph – the man seems to get better every time I see him, something I wouldn't have thought possible when I first saw him, but it seems to be!
