Mike Smith - Dave Clark Five

BBC news notes that Mike Smith has gone. The Dave Clark Five were very big in Oz and I hold a very special memory for Bits And Pieces. A fab time, that was - all those amazing Brit bands - it was almost like none of them could make a dud record and none of them were disliked by anyone. It was almost uniformly brilliant. I know I sound like an old sod but it's very hard to explain the "weight" of that time compared to this time.
