Yeah I said to Darren I had a kiss from yourself Linn, he offered up his cheek but I politely declined :D Seriously though what a nice guy he also gave me one of his cd's which was a very nice gesture. The gig itself was good all the old favourites (in no particular order) No Truth up In the Mountains, Aeroplane, Treasure Island, Real Life, Evo, Simple, Three magpies, The Field of The Cloth Of Gold, Guitarman/Whole lotta Love, By My Rocket Comes Fire, Galaxy song, My Imaginary Friend, Blue Sky Thinking, 38 which I hadn't heard before (Nick explained to me after, the reason behind the song and title) and a frenzied penultimate Headless climax to which he recieved a standing ovation.. He really did put every ounce of energy into it, and said it's the most his right hand had had a workout for a while:rofl:
All in all a good evening although karmageddon was requested but unfortunately was omitted and the sound wasn't as intense as at St.Helens and maybe the crowd was a little subdued, but Monster was right Nick really is bang on form. Great value for money and I don't know whether I included every song!

A stunning song, it was about mid way through he talked of seeing a lepper with no hands in Nepal then flying back into heathrow, being tutted at by a woman for rudely having his trolley in the way! A few hours later landing in Derby for a gig and wandering around on his own, visiting the church etc. after the soundcheck.
This was the inspiration behind the song!
Afterwards he signed a couple of cd's (sold out of bloodsongs BTW) and he talked about how everyone should visit nepal once in their lives. 38 was the number of peole on the trek. Darren was good as well some good songs interjected with humour. Although it must be difficult with everyone taking their seats and coming and going whilst waiting for Nick.
