My local post office is threatened with closure. I attended a "concerned persons" meeting this afternoon at said post office, with our local conservative MP in attendance. He was very keen to speak to me as I must have been the youngest person there (this does not happen to me very often these days) and he'd sussed I must be a home worker. I may be in the local paper later this week in a group photo and if so I will of course post it :)

Very nice man, for a Tory. I am getting very worried that my politics are changing, but I keep insisting that it's actually that the Labour party is now further right than the Tories...

Yeah my local post office is also threatened with closure ... and our local lib dems organised a similar meeting for "concerned" people ... yesterday ( I think ) mid afternoon ... I just can't imagine who would have attended !! I'm a concerned person ... but I just can't take time off work to go and be concerned !! The only time I use the post office, is when I have parcels re-delivered to my local post office ... they will on re-deliver to the same postcode ... so once the post office is closed ... I'll be stuffed !!
