I'm an American, that's right! Winnetka, Illinois (north of Chi-town).
This is my first entry in any Roy forum. Was introduced to Roy in '78 or '79 at college. I bought Valentine right away and copied HQ because I have NEVER seen it in stores here. Found BEGGAR and Baroque, but have been missing all the new OLD stuff for a quarter century until I found PASSIONS... on iTunes and then Science Friction. Glitches prevented me buying from SCIENCE Friction until today.
What is the deal? We need more Roy over here, but I'm just glad to find old news after so long. I would love to hear more about Roy's creative process.
Enjoyed part one of the interview and looking forward to more.

I will try to check this forum out on a regular basis. Let me encourage Roy and all you other devoted fans and bloggers to keep producing! I've been writing music and sci-fi and more almost in secret for decades now, and I keep re-booting my ego to continue. No Artist can hope to reach everyone all the time, but we do it for the art, don't we?

I've always been leery of CELEBRITY (hence my user name and song of the same title). I've worked in Investments, Retail, and Media, but would prefer to waste my time "creating" and working with other artists without the Media BS.

"Smiles, you know they are contagious,
But do you know which side the cage is?
Tears are like Diamonds, heaven sent,
My soul is a Diamond Mine, already spent."
(My original song lyric. No, the song is not available.)

Sorry I don't have MORE to add at this time.

Welcome to the forum. Never been to Winnetka but get to nearby Evanston from time to time on my trips to Chi-Town. Always seems a good reason to visit Guitar Works.

I've been into Roy a similar length of time.

His albums were very hard to get in the UK in the early 80's but Roy seems to be in full control of the back catalogue now so everything can be bought on CD, with the exception of one or two items such as Inbetween Every Line.

Hope you enjoy using the forum.

I was born in Evanston (a few miles south). It's always nice to get feedback. Guitar Works is cool, check out the Gand website @ Gand.com. Gary Gand and wife Joan have run the biz for decades and now perform together with their band Blue Truth. Enjoying the site, but I think I'll log off soon.
Thanks again!

Welcome to the site, NoCelebrity, I really hope you've found a home here :) Hope you enjoy digging into the old podcasts, and especially that you enjoy the next two in the pipeline.
