I like what I've heard of Seth Lakeman very much, but it is rather packaged up and radio friendly. So it shouldn't be too surprising that Nick's more challenging material (musically and lyrically) might not be easy for all Seth fans to take.

I can take Seth Lakeman in small doses, I haven't heard much of his new album but have heard the first two, he doesn't stray too far from the formula. Each to their own though, as the radio Paradise experiment has shown. :bored:

I've still never knowingly heard Seth Lakeman. If his fans have so little appreciation of Nick Harper's talents, I don't think I'm going to want to. It sounds like we are in different spheres of musical appetite.

This is a very popular and active forum for all things folk. Of particular interest to Cropredy and Fairport fans. Worth checking out.
Some nice, positive posts about Nick - and not by me either!
