The 2009 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records is now out.
I had a quick scan through it, but unless I missed it (which is possible - suffering from no sleep at the present!:m17:), there is no mention of the LHSF/Everest trek.
I did see the highest concert at altitude on land took place at 19,000-something-feet in Bolivia last year though.

Perhaps this was the reason for the asterisk in the original press release... Damnit, could someone have beat them before they even made it in the book! :crying:

Unfortunately someone had just broken the record and hence that is the reason why they are not in the book - what a shame........

Isn't that just typical: someone always has to go one higher!:biggrin: But didn't they know beforehand? I think this Bolivia one was in June(?).
