Hiya i read about this gig on Roys website last night and have been trying the obvious Ticketmaster and Royal Albert Hall box office on the internet.
I just went into the Albert Hall website tickets.royalalberthall.com and it offered me 1 ticket in the stalls seat H10 for £27.50 plus £3.50 booking fee.I cant believe my luck although i was so excited i made a complete cod's of the registration and missed my street name off, although i did manage the Post Code and Post Town so hopefully it will arrive ok.I think it must be a return or something so it's worth persevering rather than paying over the odds. £110 one site was quoting.
Good Luck everybody.:)

Congratulations Phil!

I just checked on the site you mentioned and there are no tickets available now, but I guess it is worth checking back from time to time in case there are more returns later on.

Paul.

I've had some success in the past by ringing the venues direct as well.

Sometimes they do get tickets returned or whatever and you can just pay over the phone there & then.

Don't know if the AH would do this, but sometimes they'll make a note of your number and give you a quick ring if tickets come available...

Good luck :D

I think if you keep trying they get returns.

Sorry about posting this again, i have been having all sorts of fun trying to log into the site today but it seems to have worked out now.I will go and lie down for a bit.

Good to know tickets keep popping up. I'll keep trying.

More to the point, great to hear that Roy still wants to perform live!!!

Thanks Phil, same trick worked for me

Quiz question for Roy anoraks - who was the last act he supported?

45 mins should present an interesting editing challenge, we'll have to do without the labyrinthine intros, methinks...

What about:-

The Flycatcher
Hallucinating Light
Another Day
Man In The Moon
Cherishing The Lonesome
Twelve Hours of Sunset
Same Old Rock

Inevitable encore

The Monster (sorry!)

Mad idea - You with Joanna??

I like the idea of making up imaginary 45 minute sets :)

Unfortunately it precludes any long 20 minute epics so all my favourites are out... anyway here's mine:

Commune
Another Day (2 "nice" songs to break them in gently)
Candide (I really like this new one)
Hallucinating Light
Highway Blues (ramping it up a bit)
Cricketer
Don't You Grieve (played towards the end at Clon, it worked very well)
Same Old Rock (classic crowd pleaser)
--
Encore: Short and Sweet (another classic crowd pleaser)

45 minutes eh ? The whole of Lifemask Lord's Prayer complete with ballet dancers like he did at the Albert Hall all those years/aeons ago... the year escapes me even though I remember driving a van full of hippies back to Pompey afterwards and it felt like I was floating down the M4 in a hovercraft!
Never been the same since! Hallucinating Light would be a perfect finale / epitaph methinks!

Just phoned the box office and got 2 tickets in stalls (H block).
May start a dirty protest, or maybe it isn't that sort of H block

Well done Dave

My ticket just came in the post, whoopee! Interestingly there's also a voucher for a free track from iTunes. Which was nice. :thumbup1:

Miss Newsom should absolutely insist on Me & My Woman. It's her favourite after all!

So easy for you now - just 32 minutes to fill!

When is Nick going to play here, after all he keeps saying he wants to, such as in the Tour Dates interview? That is a huge place. Dont know how many it holds but i'm sure we'd all get in with room to spare! Trouble is that i don't think the ticket cost would be as little as a tenner.

Nick suggested somewhere (Podcast interview or gig?) that he'd been invited to support The Levellers there.

Yes, that was on my interview (he said modestly) :blushing:

Yay, yay, yay!!! I didnt know that, but in that case it must be next year. There was something on the levellers forum quite a while ago that they would do Brixton and RAH in 2008 for their 20th year. Now Brixton is March, so-?
