i don't cycle, but if i was to cycle, and wanted to wear the appropriate clothing for said activity... why not those particular shorts? more of an ac/dc kinda guy, myself though.

i mean the band, by the way, just to clear up any confusion!

I'm always surprised at new ways even very rich, famous bands can find to bleed even more cash out of their fans, who they obviously care very much about and would only sanction the use of their name/logo on top quality products...........

There's a catalogue with the latest Mojo of stuff bearing the brands of loads of so-called alternative acts - a reversible Linkin Park shopping bag for example.

More over-the-counter-culture. Turning rebellion into money.

Track down a book called The Rebel Sell if you can.

Counterculture goes mainstream. I have seen this in the youth I meet 'along the road' and overseas. So few seem to be doing it for the adventure, or even posses a spirit of advenuture.

The 'gap year' is now de rigeur, young 'travellers' merely youthful versions of their grandparents booking and taking packaged, organised holidays overseas. Take a look in any STA travel these days, gone the piles of paper and airline timetable directories used to find the cheapest fare, now replaced by shelves of brochures guaranteeing 'fun' in the sun.

didn't the rebellious, and counter culture floyd chaps all meet at architect's college, or something??

the music business is 'business' - always was-always will be. neil young once said the M in MTV stands for money! and he was dead right.

write your own songs, and don't sell them to anyone, ever.

almost (if not) everyone sells out at some point. your heroes WILL let you down!
