I seem to remember Roy recently talking about his wishes to have a new webstite and was wondering about the future. If we wish to leave something named in perpetuity for future generations we would have to somehow find a way to pay the domain hosting companies in advance for the set number of required years. Is there such a thing as domain name life insurance policies / bonds for instance? Could we leave our websites in our Wills to some entrusted beneficiary / person / company to subsume and care for them? With Myspace, Youtube etc. common contributory sites the problem would only occur when they disappear at some future point which is why I wrote recently to an Undertakers asking if I could put my web contact details on my gravestone. They were worried that it may be classed as advertising which I find ridiculous.

Have been a'thinking about this overnight and I suppose those of you who have Limited Company status can regard their Websites as intellectual property as an asset of the Company which will outlive you anyway. As long as the other Directors of the Company like your choice of music after you're dead and they wish to continue your legacy of madness!

I like it. I need a new e-mail address though. How about critch@beyondthegrave.co.uk
