There are still some tickets available for Nicks gig at the Listening Room @ The Georgian Hotel on Friday 23rd January. The gig is held in a beautiful Georgian candle lit room that holds only 50 people. A real intimate and unique experience.
Tickets are only £10 and can be booked online at www.acmusicclub.co.uk through we got tickets (There great as they don't rip you off with booking fees), or in person from The Georgian Hotel. Call 01236 421888 for more info.
Very special guest for the show is Gavin Moore. Gavin is the nephew of Christy Moore and Luka Bloom and is an outstanding songwriter, so make sure you get there early to catch him. You won't regret it.
Cheers.

Hi Ian! *waves* Tis Paula, Tam's mad Yank mate here :D
Wish I could come to the gig cos I love your gigs, but sadly I can't make it - so instead Dim on this here board has made up some Glasgow/Coatbridge flyers and I will be plastering Glasgow (and Edinburgh) this weekend. Hope it helps
*hugs*

Hi Paula,
That would be great with the flyers. There is a feature going in the local paper next week and I know that Tom Morton and Janice Forsyth are giving the shows a plug. There are only a few tickets left for Coatbridge, so should sell out pretty soon.
I'm going to the Glasgow gig anyway as I always just managed to miss Duke Special whenever he plays, but have been told he is pretty special live.
Cheers.
Iain.

Same here! :blushing: See you in Glasgow then and I'm happy to help any way I can
Anyone in the area should really go along to this gig cos the Georgian is a lovely venue and Iain's gigs are always a good night out... if any of you saw my pic in Dave B's film of Nick climbing on the fireplace (an image that gives me heart palpitations to this day :willy_nilly:), that was at a charity gig at the Georgian, Iain should remember it well!

Just a note to say all there are a couple of returned tickets available from the Georgian Hotel (01236 421888), if anyone didn't manage to get a ticket for Friday.
Remember and get along early to catch Gavin Moore. Gavin is a great songwriter and performer. He played here 3 times last year with each gig getting better.
Doors are @ 8pm with first act on about 8.35ish.
Cheers.

When you say the "first act" are you referring to Gavin ... or is there multiple support acts ? btw I hope the answer is the former !!

Just the two acts, Gavin and Nick. As we have a 1am licence, Gavin will be doing a slightly longer set than a normal support. (There are quite a few folk coming to see Gavin as he has played here quite a few times).
Cheers.

Well...... What a night. Things kicked off with Gavin about 8.40pm and he was again superb. I really think he is a brilliant songwriters. He is playing in Glasgow in February, so no excuses..... go and see him.
Nick took to the stage with Tam Ballach 'Obama' (The man with a plan) ceremonially carrying Nicks guitar and Nick hobbling behind him with Tam's walking stick. Ohhh the banter.
You know what... You can tell when someone is enjoying themselves and Nick was indeed having a ball. The craic was ninety. Some real good banter going on.
Highlights..... The whole gig was a highlight. Nick played for just over 3 hrs and it felt as if he would have went on if it wasn't for the fact it was 1am and the place was shut.
Songs.... You name it he played it, quite happily taking requests.
This was a small, intimate show (only holds 50 people) and it really was a joy to be part of it. The atmosphere was electric. Said to Nick that next time he is back up we will put him in the big room (as we could have sold 3 times the tickets we sold) and he said he would rather play 3 or 4 night in this room. Me... I can't wait.

So Nick was in good fettle then in Glasgee?! He's even going back there to the ABC2 later on the tour so must love the place/people?! We can't wait down South, our tongues are already hanging out! Not literally but metaphorically! Your turn now to write a proper review for LinnPR now! I'm currently listening to him on his live tour last year at ST Helens Citadel and it's all good stuff!
