Invalid Login notice

Hi Paul,

Not a big deal, but I just tried logging in directly to the forum and got an invalid login notification. So when I went into the site and logged in from there, I saw two of me logged in! Could be a bit of a bug that needs sorting out.

Hi Marcie

This is a fault in the "bridge" that I use to make sure accounts created on the main site are transferred over to the forums. I'm trying to get this resolved; there's a new version of the bridge being worked on by someone and when it's robust enough I'll be upgrading the site so that you can login to either the main site or the forum and both will work as you expect.

I usually have trouble logging in from the forum, today I didn't. But I had been trying from the main page and that said I had wrong username or password. Weird.

It's very wierd for me too. I have to log in from the main site otherwise i'm not allowed and what is stranger is that sometimes the forum remembers me and other times not. That's only when i use my phone though. I can find no explanation as to why. I'll be logged in one time, and not the next, but even without logging back in, the next time i connect it may suddenly remember me again. Weird stuff.

In Mia's case, you originally registered on the forum directly and not on the main site. So the main site doesn't know you.

Unfortunately I only have a one way bridge at the moment; people that register on the main site get pushed to the forums automatically, but must always log in on the main site - the forum login doesn't work for them.

People that register only on the forums, can only log in on the forums, and can't post stuff on the main site.

At some point I will try to improve the situation and consolidate the two user databases, and make sure everything works no matter where you originally registered. Unfortunately I'm rushed off my feet with paying work right now!

If all else fails, clear cookies, log in to the main site, and if that fails, try to log in to the forum site. If that fails too ask me to find your login (if you forget if it's on the main or forum system) and I can reset your password.

not finished yet, but what i want doing is gonna cost me more than i want to spend at the mo :) its gonna be a whirlpool in a bubble with some symbols and fish, held up by a goddess sitting in a huge lotus on my waist. that is a pink lotus with an om at the very top.
