THOUGHT THAT ANOTHER WAY OF CHECKING BUXTON WOULD BE TO PHONE THE VENUE AND SEE THEIR TICKET TALLIES THEN YOU'LL PROBABLY KNOW THAT SKIDDLE HAVE MESSED UP? IN FACT THERE'S AN INCOMING MESSAGE FROM M'C'R (M'@R) WHICH I HAVEN'T (HAVEN@T) READ YET ON MY MOBILE FOR SOME REASON.
IN THE M'C'R CITY FOOTBALL SITE, THEY TALK ABOUT ROY FORUMLY FONDLY SO I'LL PRETEND I'M NOT A RED UNDER THE BED AND POST A LITTLE COMMENT TO NICK'S BENEFIT. AS LONG AS I DON'T GET A LOT OF SPAM HATEMAIL FROM MILLWALL SUPPORTERS!
WILL TRY AND DO SOME MORE LISTINGS ON GIG SEARCH SITES THIS WEEKEND. HAVE PUT LEAFLETS/POSTERS OUT LOCALLY IN LIBRARY AND MUSIC SHOP. ANOTHER 5 LIBRARIES AND 10 COMMUNITY CENTRES TO DO NEXT WEEK. BLUES CLUB TONIGHT IF I CAN GET THE GUITAR IN TUNE IN THIS ATMOSPHERIC WEATHER!
Cheers
and
PRIVATE PS : [My mate's a lot better thanks and hopefully the local detox services will sort him out..but there's a big queue apparently]

I noticed that on Skiddle there's a 'link to your event'. This has codes for websites and tag codes for forums. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know what it looks like, but maybe we could go through and put up on here etc as we come up to each gig? Andi, if you want to try the Buxton one?

I interpreted the site that if you want extra publicity via that option [perhaps I'm thinking of the other one where you hire front page advertisements linked?] it cost money. Hopefully won't get a Bill in the post! Pretty sure that I haven't signed up to anything onerously expensive extraneously. Will have another look tonight . Got to go to my third job now,,bye...

I don't think there's any charge for using the codes. Maybe Dim knows more?

thats pretty...
have you been holding back on us mr c?
i got kinda stuck.. after designing a poster (originally for exeter) you then can tailor it to other venues.. .when the idea is suggested of a tour poster, you play, you tinker, it works (when the tour was only 10 dates)......
when it hits 30 you have to explain to the computer what 8cpi is and it gets confused..
good job.... im off hunting for places to stick it...
whats the font on the headline...?
just looked at it in b/w and looks nice... got 120,000 fonts here on disc and just spent ages looking for that.. but a name would be good... (its also one of those one off fonts.. you can use it once, but after that...well.... :()
(spot the geek.. falls in love with a font....)

Hi Dim, sorry for the delay in seeing this.
The fonts used are sidewalk (the distressed one)
http://www.dafont.com/sidewalk.font
and ozone (the lights one)
http://www.dafont.com/ozone.font
Also try Ray Larabie's fonts site, there's some great ones on there.

Brilliant! Thanks for the pointer Pete. I will definitely be using some of his stuff in some roleplaying game handouts I'm doing in a few weeks.

What are they, then? Sounds interesting. :)
What are they, then? Sounds interesting. :)
I have a regular Tuesday night thing in a pub in London with 8-10 friends, and we take turn running games. Mine is a modern day Illuminati game, where the players (who are roleplaying employees of an "out-there" detective agency) are finding out that there is a global conspiracy, that the Scientologists really are in contact with aliens, that the US government really does have that warehouse full of "artifacts" that appeared at the end of the first Indiana Jones film, that the Prisoner village does exist... and so on.
Well, you did ask!

You have to get well by Exeter! Can't miss the big night :D

got hobos before that in less than two weeks and still not got a support due to musicians being the most unreliable people in the world...
bulk of the remaining posters for both are going up courtesy of jay today, and were back on our daily postering of podiums only to watch them get postered over..
phoenix has hit the "venue paid for" point, which with three weeks to go is good.. exeter lot are notorious for not buying tickets for anything until about two hours beforehand..
kinda flaky again now.. was so behind after two weeks out of the loop that i had so much to do ive knackered myself out.. back to about 50% physical and 20% mental again.. :/ this is proving a complete illegitemate child to shift..

Oooops missed, I should have checked the forums before I went.
My pitiful excuse is I hadn't seen my eldest in awhile and so one to many Guinessess in the Variety Bar down the road ensued and we had to down the last one el pronto just to make sure we got a spot down the front.
As it was the normally "up for it" weggie crowd were behaving like an Edinburgh crowd and staying well away from the stage so we needn't have worried about being able to get down the front. As you can see from this photo....
