Someone wacked a CD on last night - John Mayer -Where the light is! I was very impressed. So much so they've lent me them! Anyway, Just wondered if anyone had heard it and what they think. I'm really enjoying it! It's good stuff!

LOL! I stumbled over John Mayer whilst drinking Tequila in a beach bar in Malaysia (2004). I was convinced it was Dave Matthews, so I asked the owner what CD he had just put on?...
I was impressed and enjoyed what I heard immensely. I haven't heard any of his live albums, I just have the last 3 studio albums, but they are all good and worth a punt.

I like his first album Room For Squares a lot - "No Such Thing" is one of my fave songs of the past few years  Poor guy only seems to be tabloid fodder these days for dating the extremely high maintenance (IMHO  ) Jennifer Aniston, but the music is quite lovely... I need to catch up on recent music!
His blog is pretty funny too, he seems like an intelligent and nice guy:

(and no it's not a baking blog, I think it was a contest haha)

Listen to his Waiting On The World To Change. That was the first I heard of him a couple of years ago.
Btw, cool wasn't it about KOL taking Best Int Group and Album in the Brits. Bet Dickie Burn was gutted about the Killers!

:D It was my first night on that stuff (plus a lot of other things) but it was a great all-nighter and we had a lot of fun.
Sunrise was seen from a secretive, transvestite beach bar, the very last thing I expected to find in Malaysia!
That John Mayer CD played through the night, wonderful memories.
(P.S. No I am not )

That object is a decorative spoon...he collects them as a little, er, hobby! We did discuss this in another thread on here.
A bit more about him and his bird Ivy here:biggrin:

I've been reading up on love spoons since joining the dots. I have a vague memory of them, perhaps Blue Peter circa 1978.
Naturally, I never travel without my love spoon either
