As some of you are aware, I have a rather close attachment to Nick's Simple, being there from before birth to watching it grow, as it were, and take its first faltering steps, and to now being almost 'grown up'!
If you don't know what I am on about check http://www.myspace.com/simplewhoisit
That was my brainwave, aided and abetted by the wonderful Mr Critch, sometime of this parish.
My vision was always seeing this song done live, and having all the audience all join in with the 'Simple' bits, and on the line '...one, two, three....'.
Nick has now taken to including Simple in the set this tour - usually coming around the 5th or 6th number in.
He and I spoke about it the other evening, and I again related the above. He still rather thinks it's more in my head than a practicality, but asked me why I didn't do it (because usually I am at the back at the sales table and not near enough although I am always rocking along!).
But what we've arranged for Swindon (and you guys are all free to do elsewhere too if you feel so inclined!), and what he'd like, is for us to gather at the front and really give it some welly and join in with hands in the air and a rip-roaring collaboration on the 'Simple' bits!
Please don't leave me feeling like a right plonker, being just one solo voice squeaking 'Simple' every so often!:blushing:
Sing it loud. Sing it proud.
And remember...keep it Simple!
Please spread the word to others who may be going.
