THE STONES! (not the rolling ones, but... ) - along with a cast of (hopefully) thousands, amazing scenery and even a World Cup Final thrown in for good measure Want to know more? http://www.aveburyrocks.org/ Want to sign up or buy tickets for the gig? http://www.prospect-hospice.net/Supporter/Fundraising-Events/Avebury-Rocks Want to share with all your friends and foes on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/events/251907994991836/
Another bad weekend for me as I'm working and will need to take 2 days holiday. Jon Gomm got put on the spot in Otley and it sounds like he will be there. Shouldn't it be Avebury Rocks 4 ? or doesn't last year count?
Last year was Devil's Den Rocks. Totally different Officially, Avebury Rocks was taking a year off... Sorry to hear you guys can't come! Jon Gomm sounds cool though, thanks for the goss
Don't forget the new Stonehenge centre nearby looks amazing... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-25402980 ...and not a million miles away the Mary Rose exhibition centre in Portsmouth Dockyard is well worth a visit.... http://www.historicdockyard.co.uk/maryrose/ Happy Crimble Roy, Nick, Tracy and everyone! Andi x
Thanks for the info about the Stonehenge Centre - I had no idea that was now finished and agree it is pretty close to Avebury and does look like it could be interesting .. if you have a spare £15 !! But suggesting the Mary Rose exhibition is a bit of a long shot - you are right it's not a million miles ... but it is at least 70 miles away !!
I went there when it opened in Pompey [Tomlin Tinseltown ] and it's amazing as you view the ship from inside the ol'timbers. Andy Roberts is walking round the IOW [pub crawl?] at the mo and may be able to pop in? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...1297617383189.494845.512738188&type=1&theater Andi ps Are you cyber stalking me again Mr Mox? Are you doing Avebury then? We could all walk to Stonehenge and back as a marathon eh? Haven't checked the mileage yet but Woodhenge I think is also down there and never been ...
http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=1224 Ha! The Alzheimers Society are doing it every year. How do you spell Alzheimers I forget!?
No - it's called a Forum - you post something, so I did !! Not sure yet .. depends how my diet goes !!
Go on ... I've got to bite .... Andi - why have you posted a video from 3 years ago into this thread ?
The Rocks at Avebury were talked about on the One Show earlier this (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04pby0s/the-one-show-17112014 - obviously this link won't work forever ! ) and it kinda makes 'em less impressive IMHO !!
