Hi PD Can you put all Bad Speech's stuff together on here, in one place.... it's amazing! Have got bad cold thingy; so not sure about Avebury? Andi
I presumed.. I presumed you were receiving all his wonderful covers and tutorials of Roy's music via Youtube/email? eg Plus plenty more...perhaps you can transfer this to the library or cover thread? Cheers Andi
I don't see the point really ( well I too didn't know what the heck you were talking about, until you replied to PD ) why re-invent the wheel ? He has all his stuff together on YouTube ( http://www.youtube.com/user/BadSpeech#p/a/u/2/AY9m85k8vmI ) so what's the point in putting them all up here too ? Ohh forgot totally about that photo opp in Avebury.... but as it's my birthday today ( did I mention that before ? ) ... I just can't see me wanting to get up and drive down there again !! Ohh and sorry you feal a bit rough Andi - all the best !!
Thank you... Thank you dear Christopher and happy birthday! Guess it'll be a bit windy around the stones today and hope it goes well Nick,Kat and gang! We've got the vid anyway which was great. Was going to use the group photo shoot as a Xmas card broadcast. I found Bad Speech's contribution the best ever at explaining Roy's fingerpicking and tunings etc. that's all. Forgive my exuberance, and I'll put it in the library as a link oneday maybe. I would think he'd make an excellent subject for a Podcast/Vidcast for the guitarists on here also. Andi cough splutter...
Roy guitar tutorials Haven't seen this stuff before - it looks absolutely bloody wonderful, since it has at least two of my favourite ever Roy tunes ("Goodbye" and "One for All"). Now I have retired (as of October 12th - geddit?) I am going to learn to play guitar and this will be invaluable. "Goodbye" is one of the three tunes i want played at my funeral, though obviously learning how to play it won't help to achieve that particular goal... Alan
Lite Gauge Happy retirement, out to grass :m3::sifone: etc! Litegauge is another one you can subscribe to and it'll go straight to your Email addy.. he does loads of Roy and others. eg : Songs at funerals I think we've covered before in another thread, but if the was the choice of three of Roy only, I think Goodbye maybe there..apart from the whole of Stormcock, Lifemask etc! May have to ask the humanist vicar [if there is such a thing?*] to extend the service by a couple of hours and find a coffin big enough for my jumbo guitar with dreadnought case! Litegauge Litegauge is much better badspeech while near enough fails to deliver an emotive vibe.. repeating tunes is one thing 'feeling' it is another.. when will harper fans appreciate roys poems instead of constantly repeating his tunes which is as old as the cricketer! Every folk club in britain has a harper prodigy delivering a harper experience some are amazing even the vocals.. lets see somebody recite the lords prayer without the mask and the rampant desire to recycle the tunes.
