No - we have a self catering flat, as Donovan's ( for me ) is far too hectic on a Friday & Saturday night, when they open their club - as you know it's just full of piss-heads throwing up and being rowdy - just like been back in the UK; I don't go to Clon for that carry on !!
...always the cheap Campsite for me.. you wake up to beautiful quiet views across the Bay, birds wading, flying, bill digging, making strange language noises above you, around me... oh no, is it Ian snoring again... or is that a Hobbit crawling out of the next door tent, Dave? Tried Donovan's one year, and although 24 hours alcoholically sociable it was rather horrendously addictively enjoyably expensive ...last year we had the Campsite to ourselves, and apart from the odd Atlantic weather [which you don't appreciate cocooned in your brick tourist shared edifices] we experienced Stoned Age Man in all it's vagaries of ancientness of wonder/appreciation of walking a mile back along the coast road to sober up, meditate on the night sky with the Ancient Gods of Virgin Airway planes leaving their trails across the sky towards the New World... x
I had a bit of a nightmare last night! I dreamt I was in this small rowing boat with four people going out across the sea. Two of the occupants were rather large people with Roy Harper Tshirts on.... guess who!? The boat started to rock in the waves and I started to panic and realise we'd never reach our destination which I can't remember {EIRE?}. Luckily this pier {Southsea?} appeared and I jumped out and left them to it! Then I woke up...it's true... x
