More "Live" Roy is always a good idea! I seem to remember being disappointed there wasn't an official recording, as I was just rediscovering Roy online at the time.
I don't think I have one sorry - I tried to video the Stormcock gig with Nick, I remember it didn't come out so well though! I'll have to look through my boxes of bumf in our garage eventually - still there 3 years after our move :blushing:
There aren't any circulating audio recordings that I'm aware of. If you find one available on your quest, then I'll also be interested in grabbing a copy!
I wasn't at Clon in 2007 but I did make it to the Edinburgh and Gateshead gigs. The Sage was a very quiet venue (no bar and clinking bottles / glasses, yea  ) I recorded it on my iPod so not a fantastic recording but good enough. I don't think Paul likes links to recordings to be posted on his forum so PM me and I can give you link to an mp3 file for anyone interested. The setlist for that night at the the Sage included two new songs but whether they have made it onto the album we shall have to wait and see. From the track listing for the new album it doesn't mention either song but as Roy said at the gig "for the moment it is called Candide" so I hope it has changed name as I think its a really good song. I may be mixing things up but I think Candide is The Stranger. This is the one that starts "Looking in the mirror but I don't see me"? He played that one a few times over the mid 00s years and I think he called it The Stranger at some stage too. I'm not sure about that though. It stood out as a fantastic song when he played it live, I really hope he plays it on sunday. There is a 2007 gig from Bristol up on dime, also with Pan and Candide. The sound is slightly distant.
Yep that is the one. The sound on my recording does break up when the volume gets loud but its nice to dig it out occasionally to be reminded of the gig, the stories etc
funny you should mention this but I have a copy, 'De Barra Folk Club, Clonakilty 26 July 2007' I can send you a copy if you like. I can only do a CDR copy. Pete
