Hi there I am a newbie here in the forum. I love to play guitar a lot, But I am just a Beginner. I here to learn something new.
My first "Welcome" in a while! Welcome, Denver. "These people" love to talk about gigs and the potential to see Nick and/or Roy Harper and compare other music, etc. I like talking more about the creative sides of Roy, Nick, Music, life in general. Settle in and find a nice comfortable niche or two! Download and listen to the podcasts. (I'm in Number 35. Please leave some comments when you have a chance).
Hiya NC! You've been missed. Sadly the first guy was a spammer but you give good advice anyway
Multiple American Manufacturers of Spam, -ing Inc. Ink Spam, really? Was it the poor grammar that tipped you off? I am so "Hormel"-iated. I've been missed? How sweet! I've been missing comments on Podcast 35 (where I mentioned you, Paula, BTW). Is it because Paul and I worked in a "spoof" and you're afraid to give the creator any praise? Or did no one figure that out yet? I'd love to hear YOUR critique, sweet Paula! No pressure... (Though I am attempting to charm a positive review). I'd hoped the song of mine I picked would be received positively and people could accept it was submitted with the sole purpose of honoring Roy. It seems obvious to me my whole Stormcock persona is a bit off-putting in that I DO NOT embrace the Medias' concept of "Celebrity" as it exists now. And what are the chances anyone on this site will see me perform live? But I can certainly appreciate feedback of all kinds if I get enough of it. Paul was brave enough to reach out and accept my contributions and I hoped it would help him find more willing participants.
Oh noes, NC, I am now officially so embarrassed - I listen to podcasts at work (mornings only, I can't wear headphones in the afternoon) and I am SO behind that I haven't heard this yet :blushing: I promise I'll catch up and let you know!! *hugs*
Stormcock IPO beats Facebook! That's OK, SPB! I think we all have gotten several months behind at some point. Last year I finally got caught up on the episodes before I did my interview with our fearless leader. I have been wondering how much other social media have been eating into the Stormcock site's use. I'll bet even Paul spends more time there... but I just don't care for FB, or the other humongous "niche monopolies" in social media. Where's the competition? You also remind me how much more time people spend on work and keeping their jobs each year until we see a strong recovery (Roy help us!). Still, it seems others are always on the site whenever I visit, we're just in a lull after last Fall's enthusiasm for the big concert. To be honest, I LOVED the informal interviews Paul did around the Birthday Concert MORE than my interview... I talked too much (but I really hoped Paul would edit me more to make me sound interesting. I knew better, but...). Hugs back at you!
Hi Jack and Paula I too am guilty of falling behind.. According to the stats this is my first visit since Xmas Eve! :-( A diabolical crash of the computer has led to me starting things up from scratch again, so I thought I'd drop on on stormcock.net. As you say, this is a much nicer environment than Facebook, so perhaps I'll migrate back here.. BTW, I did enjoy your contribution to the podcast Jack, though it's so long ago I forget all about it. Time to revisit! Cheers Bob
Welcome Wilson Leong! (oh, yeah!) After more than six months the vote is two positive Stormcock reviews to zero negative (not counting Paul, who must remain neutral... NOT!). I'm on a roll! What about my original song, "Model Woman?" Did I do it justice? Does it need more, better, or less...? Does anyone remember why this thread was started anymore?:confused1:
